Tonight is our next Band Booster monthly meeting.  This is also our election meeting for the upcoming school year.  Many people have put their names on the ballot! 

Want to learn more about the workings of the Band Booster organization?  Our organization consists of the following positions:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Sargeant at Arms and Member at Large. We are always looking for fresh faces!  

If you have not put your name in as a nomination, you can contact Jen Stanton prior to the May 16 meeting or write in nominations are welcome as well.

Our organization received a $104.00 donation from BJ's!  To all our friends, relatives and co-workers, thank you for your support!  The food was great and we are looking forward to another dine and donate soon!

Nominations for the 2023-24 Booster Board are listed below along with the job descriptions for each position.  If you are interested in adding your name to the list, please contact Jen Stanton.  Please plan on attending the monthly meeting on May 16 to vote.  Write in nominations are also accepted.  You can write in a name to nominate prior to voting time.

Below are the names of those running for positions along with the job descriptions.

President

Description: 

1. Shall conduct and attend all Executive Board meetings 

2. Shall be the direct liaison between the directors and the organization 

3. Shall be a member ex-officio of all committees except the Nominating Committee and Bylaw  Committee 

4. Designates the Vice President to preside over meetings when absent 

5. Shall be a member of the Budget and Finance Committee 

6. Has authority to write checks and use the debit card. When writing checks or using the debit card, the treasurer must be notified of expenditures within seven (7) days. 7. Must volunteer at a minimum of six (6) fundraising events per fiscal year (not including  home football game concessions.)

Description: 

1. Shall act in place of the President when designated 

2. Shall attend all meetings 

3. Is to be the liaison to the Fundraising Committee and Functional Operations Committee 

4. Shall be a member of the Budget and Finance Committee 

5. Shall assist the President and other Board Members as directed 

6. Shall assume the position of President if the position is vacated 

7. Must volunteer at a minimum of six (6) fundraising events per fiscal year, (not including  home football game concessions.)

Description 

1. Shall record the minutes of the general and Executive Board meetings 

2. Shall be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining the official contact list 

3. Shall be responsible for changing the official e-mail account password upon any change of Board composition 

4. Shall take and retain the attendance for all Executive and monthly meetings 

5. Shall retain a copy of all minutes, agendas, Treasurer Reports and a copy of any other  handouts or literature distributed at said meetings for a period of seven (7) years 

6. Shall maintain and archive reports from the chairperson of all committees for future  reference 

7. Shall provide sufficient copies of the agenda and previous meeting's minutes for the  general meetings, for review and approval 

8. Shall be responsible for collecting, sorting and distributing all of the organization's mail 

9. Shall be responsible for mailing all official correspondence 

10. Shall handle media releases and public relations 

11. Must volunteer at a minimum of six (6) fundraising events per fiscal year, (not including  home football game concessions.) 


Sargeant at Arms

Jesse Zedaker

Description 

1. Shall maintain order and decorum at all meetings 

2. Shall enforce the Constitution and By-laws, Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics and 

3. Responsibilities of the organization 

4. Shall be a member of the Bylaw Committee 

5. Provide support to the President and undertake duties as needed by the President

6. Shall review the Constitution and Bylaws, Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics with the Executive Board and Band Directors annually

7. Must volunteer at a minimum of six (6) fundraising events per fiscal year, (not including  home football game concessions.) 


Member at Large

Description

1. Shall attend all Meetings 

2. Shall be a member of the Fundraising Committee 

3. Serves as a liaison between the general membership and the board 

4. Serves to get input, provide feedback, and become a spokesperson for the board segment of the  membership 

5. Works with committee chairs to review status and progress 

6. Brings committee reports back to the executive board for oversight 

7. May oversee and run a committee for a short period of time if a vacancy occurs 

8. If one or more Executive Board members has a Participant that is a member of the Guard, then  the individual(s) shall undertake the following duties in addition to their regularly assigned  duties as determined by the President; otherwise they will be performed by the Member-at Large. 

a. Shall serve as the liaison between the guard parents and the board. 

b. Serves to get input, provide feedback, and become a spokesperson for the Guard during  board meetings and to general membership. 

c. Shall help set up and coordinate, or be a member of the Guard initiated fundraising  events. 

9. Must Volunteer at a Minimum of six (6) Fundraising events per Fiscal Year (excluding Football  Concessions) 

For those who are running for a board position , please be prepared to  present yourself to the  audience so everyone is informed.
Please be sure to come and vote on May 16.  This is a time where you can make your decision a good one.  We have several good candidates to choose from and we are always looking for more!  Please keep in mind, the kids are always #1!
