About WES-RG Project
Wastewater and Environmental Surveillance (WES) is an important tool for monitoring environmental and community health by analyzing wastewater. It has been used to detect chemicals, illegal drugs, microorganisms, and drug-resistant bacteria, and became particularly popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the lack of specific reporting guidance has led to different approaches and reporting in WES studies. WES-RG Group engages to propose straightforward standards for reporting WES research, covering study design, sample collection, data analysis, ethical considerations, and interpreting results. WES-RG devotes to enhance the quality and transparency of WES research.
