I am an economist by training, now a Senior Data Analyst at ABLY, a Korean fashion commerce platform with over 10 million monthly active users. I work on a cross-functional platform team spanning recommendation, search, and advertising, designing experiments and causal measurement methods that the wider organization can reuse.

Much of my work is about how the company decides. I built a company-wide group sequential A/B testing framework — day-1/3/7 decision rules, adopted as policy — so teams can read results early without inflating false positives. I also run seller-level synthetic difference-in-differences to evaluate policy and product changes.

Before ABLY, I was an Associate Research Fellow at Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), studying disaster aid, cross-country AI research collaboration, and development finance. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Houston, where I used network formation models to study how adolescents form friendships and what those early ties do to later outcomes.
