In the future, our core values which will enable us to retain our youth with participation in WYB will be based on the idea that at the heart of everything is just a kid playing baseball.

* Teamwork: Wellsburg Youth baseball program will stress the importance of working together towards common goals, fostering a team-first mentality. With objective of building up teammates with words of encouragement.

* Sportsmanship: This includes respecting opponents, umpires, and coaches, as well as handling both victory and defeat with grace and dignity.

* Respect: Respect for the game, its rules, and everyone involved is the cornerstone of Wellsburg youth baseball. 

* Discipline: Players will learn to focus on the task at hand, follow instructions, and develop self-control, and pride of the community.

* Perseverance: Wellsburg Youth baseball will teach resilience in the face of adversity and the ability to overcome challenges with a positive attitude. With learning from mistakes and the ability to get back up and continue to improve to get better an have the knowledge of failing bouncing back because that is how winning is obtained.
