In 2015, Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, plotted to kill her mother. Godejohn stabbed Dee Dee Blanchard to death at her home in Missouri, while Gypsy Rose Blanchard hid in the bathroom. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in 2019.

Here's my first attempt at a general UM Football graphic featuring Harbaugh. Nothing specific - just lots of in-your-face Harbaughness. This image was from his days in SF, so I had to remove the SF logo and apply the Bo Block M - not perfect but it gets the job done. The "Welcome Home" theme has a couple different veins, the most obvious being to welcome Jim home. Additionally, it serves the purpose of welcoming our program's detractors back into the fold. No excuses from here on out. You're either in (Welcome Home), or never come back as far as I'm concerned. I was going to include "2015" or "team136" in there somewhere, but I wanted this to be more of a general graphic that can be reused year after year if desired.

This week on Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, we had the opportunity to work with Kim (and her dog, Hank), who recently made the move from California to come work with us on Magnolia Network. Once she made the move to Waco, Kim was ready to trade in her small beach apartment for her very first home!

Kim purchased a 1930s home with great bones and a lot of character. Since the house already had so much charm, it was fun for us to peel back the layers and put our own spin on some of those historical features to help them really shine through in the final design.

Actor Kareena Kapoor has shared photos as she and her friends, actor Malaika Arora and fashion designer Masaba Gupta exchanged food with each other. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kareena reposted a photo shared by Malaika. The picture was of dishes that Kareena sent to Malaika. In the photo, a plate full of biryani and raita was kept on a table. Next to it was some dessert in a bowl. Sharing the photo, Malaika Arora wrote, "Love you my @kareenakapoorkhan and love my welcome home khana......can't stop eating, won't stop eating... #biryani #raita #halwa....food heaven (red heart emojis)." Sharing it, Kareena wrote, "BFFs who biryani (flexed biceps and red heart emojis)."

The actor, a few days later, posted a video doing yoga at her home. Sharing a clip as she exercised, Kareena wrote, "When your yoga instructor follows you on Instagram, you know it's time to say bye to the biryani and halwa. #UntilWeMeetAgain. #Reels #ReelItFeelIt #Friday #Yoga @anshukayoga."

Welcome Home Cheater is a photograph of a homemade banner that reads "welcome home cheater" hung up on the front of a house. The photo was uploaded to Reddit in 2013 and gained viral spread over the following years as an exploitable image macro meme format. Purportedly, the banner was hung up by the wife of a soldier who cheated on her, although this claim is unconfirmed.

On June 6th, 2013, a now-deleted Redditor posted a photograph to /r/pics[1] showing a banner hanging across the front of a house with the words "WELCOME HOME CHEATER" spray painted on it, writing, "Taken this morning in my hometown in Washington. Ohhh shit" (shown below). The post gained over 2,900 upvotes in nine years. According to the poster, the image was shown to him by a barista who sent him the image.

On June 9th, the Daily Mail[2] reported on the photo, speculating it was taken in the town of Bremerton near Seattle. The town is near a military hospital and a Navy shipyard and soldiers had been returning home from active duty around the time the photo was taken. They speculate that the banner may have been hung by the wife of a returning soldier who she suspects was cheating, although this is unconfirmed.

LAST WEEK I WROTE ABOUT CORY AND I MEETING 40 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK ON DECEMBER 23rd, 1983. WELL, ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 23rd, 2023 I SURPRISED CORY BY DRIVING HER INTO BOSTON FROM HAMPTON TO STAND WHERE WE MET 40 YEARS TO ALMOST THE EXACT HOUR

40 years ago tonight right around this exact time, I met Cory for the first time. Right at this very spot, where I played and sang The LITTLE DRUMMER BOY at Barry Marshall's 1st annual Christmas Rock and Roll Show. The club was called SPIT, and it was located at the current House Of Blues on Lansdowne Street in Boston. I surprised Cory by driving into town tonight, and we stood outside the old SPIT club, and I kissed her like I did that first time 40 years ago tonight. And, I'm wearing the same shirt I had on 40 years ago. What can I say, I'm a romantic at heart. I loved you then, and I love you today.

Happy 40th anniversary.

Later that night I got hit hard with VERTIGO. Like really hard. Little did I know what was coming. The next day was Christmas Eve and I could not get out of bed until the middle of the afternoon. I thought I might have to cancel the family Christmas Party. But like a miracle, I felt better around 3:00PM and we had the party and everyone had a great time.

I took this photo of Max and Jacquieas they left. It's under our Japanese Maple tree that I decorate in all Blue lights. The very next morning on Christmas Max asked Jacquie to marry him. Cory and I couldn't be happier. We love Jacquie so much and think they are perfect for each other.

Pictured above on Christmas Morning: Pete, Noelle, Malia, Max, and Jacquie More GOOD NEWS. Noelle and Pete and baby Malia are expecting their second child in July! WHOA! This Christmas was getting better by the minute.

And then...my Vertigo came back. Followed by massive headaches, severe congestion, chills, and fever. And then? I took the test, and BAM! I had COVID. For the second time in my life since January of 2021. COVID. I went to bed Christmas Night and couldn't get out of bed until Saturday December 30th, 2023. That's why the Blog is late. I posted the photo galleries from the 19th & 20th, along with four galleries drom Dina Crawford. Plus the HUGE West Coast pics. Again, I apologize for being late, but now you know the reasons why. The Good, the bad, and the ugly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ed O'Connell was one of the most loved surf photographers in New England. A US ARMY Vietnam Veteran who saved the lives of so many ARMY Grunts in Nam in 68-69 as a Medic on board those Dust Off Hueys. He was a dear friend of mine.

When he passed on July 1st, 2014 I swore I'd keep his memory and legacy alive by giving him this weekly corner. He loved surfing and he loved taking photos of all the surfers. Not just those who could really stand out. He shot every one. As long as I shall live and breathe the salt air, there will be a corner dedicated to Ed.

ED'S CORNER December 24th, 2023

This pic was shot by Ed in October of 2008. I had posted other pics from this same session many times in the past but always passed on posting this one. It reminds me of how I surf these days. Always in a crouching position because I lost the ability and the spring to stand straight up. It's still surfing. Just not like I used to do.
