If you want a dedicated, waterproof audio solution for underwater laps and intense pool sessions, choose wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming; if you need long-lasting battery life and versatile open-ear comfort for dry land activities like jogging or commuting, choose TRAUSI IPX7.
• wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming: Its superpower is true submersion capability with an IPX8 rating and 16GB of internal storage, allowing you to swim without a phone, but it trades off a shorter average battery life of 10 hours compared to its competitor. This pick is for the serious swimmer who wants music in the water.
• TRAUSI IPX7: Its standout feature is an incredible 50-hour total playtime and a lightweight, hook-style design perfect for all-day wear, though it lacks the deep-water submersion capabilities and built-in MP3 memory of the wedoking. This pick is for the runner or commuter who needs endurance and situational awareness.
The wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming headphones are engineered with a very specific purpose in mind: they are not just for casual listening by a poolside; they are built to go in the pool. This is a critical distinction. While many earbuds claim to be water-resistant, this model is designed to handle extended periods underwater where standard electronics would fail. If your primary use case involves swimming laps, surfing, or any activity where your ears will be submerged, this device is the only logical choice between the two.
What makes this unit particularly useful for aquatic sports is its dual-mode functionality. You can switch between Bluetooth 6.0 mode for surface use and a dedicated MP3 player mode for underwater use. Since Bluetooth signals do not travel well through water, the device allows you to load up to 4,000 songs directly onto its 16GB internal memory. You don't need to carry a smartphone into the pool. The physical control buttons make it easy to manage playback, calls, and track skipping even when wet, ensuring you stay in the zone without fumbling with touch controls.
The audio experience is tailored specifically for water environments with four distinct EQ modes: Vocal, Bass, Swimming, and Balance. The "Swimming" mode is optimized to enhance sound clarity under pressure, while the "Bass" mode delivers the punch needed for high-intensity training. The bone conduction driver technology ensures your ears remain open, which is vital for safety and hearing ambient cues like lane markers or other swimmers. However, there is a trade-off. The battery life averages 10 hours on a single charge, which is respectable but falls short of the 50-hour potential offered by the TRAUSI alternative. If you are looking for a headphone that can last a week of heavy jogging without charging, this might feel limiting, but for a 90-minute swim session, it is more than sufficient.

This product is ideal for anyone who treats swimming as a core part of their fitness routine. It fits snugly with skin-friendly silicone earbuds that conform to the ear canal, staying secure during intense movements. The ENC noise cancellation helps filter out wind and waves for clearer calls when you are above the surface. However, if you never plan to submerge your audio gear, the specialized waterproofing and MP3 storage features become unnecessary weight and cost. It is a specialist tool, not a generalist one.
The TRAUSI IPX7 Stereo Earphones take a different approach, focusing entirely on the dry-land experience where endurance and comfort reign supreme. These open-ear buds utilize a dynamic driver rather than a bone conduction system, delivering stereo sound that feels rich without blocking out the world. The design features a hook shape that secures the earpiece comfortably, making them suitable for running, cycling, or walking. The description emphasizes a "feather-light" build, suggesting that users can wear them for extended periods without the fatigue often associated with bulkier over-ear or in-ear models.
The most impressive specification in the TRAUSI data sheet is the battery life. With an average playtime of 50 hours, these earphones offer a level of convenience that few competitors match. Whether you are training for a marathon, taking early morning calls, or editing content late into the night, you likely won't need to charge them frequently. The inclusion of a wireless charging case adds another layer of utility, allowing you to top up on the go. This makes the TRAUSI IPX7 an excellent companion for the person whose daily rhythm involves constant movement across various environments, from the gym to the office to the park.
Connectivity is robust with Bluetooth 5.4, offering a range of up to 15 meters, which provides ample freedom of movement for outdoor activities. The touch controls allow for intuitive management of calls and tracks, and the Environmental Noise Cancellation ensures that voice calls remain clear even in noisy urban settings. The IPX7 rating means they can handle sweat, rain, and accidental splashes without issue, but they are not designed for full submersion. If you try to swim with these, the lack of structural waterproofing beyond the splash-proof rating could lead to damage. They are built for the elements you encounter on land, not the depths you encounter in water.
Who should buy the TRAUSI? It is perfect for someone who prioritizes battery longevity and wants a versatile pair of headphones for jogging, hiking, or casual listening. The open-ear design keeps your ears cool and maintains awareness of your surroundings, which is crucial for road safety. However, if you crave the immersive, bass-heavy experience of a closed-back design or need to listen to music while fully submerged in a pool, this unit will not meet those needs. It is a general-purpose workhorse that excels at being comfortable and reliable for everyday active lifestyles.

• Best for tech-savvy connectivity → TRAUSI IPX7: Features the newer Bluetooth 5.4 standard with a wider 15-meter range versus the wedoking's Bluetooth 6.0 (with a 10.1-meter range).
• Best for customizing sound profiles → wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming: Offers four distinct EQ modes including a specialized "Swimming" setting that the TRAUSI lacks.
• Best for long-duration comfort → TRAUSI IPX7: Designed for all-day wear with a feather-light profile and wireless charging case for hassle-free power.
• Best for call clarity in wind/waves → wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming: Equipped with advanced ENC specifically noted for filtering wind and wave noise during outdoor aquatic activities.
• Best value for versatility → TRAUSI IPX7: A strong contender for anyone who splits time between running, working, and socializing without ever needing to go underwater.
In my opinion, the wedoking Bone Conduction Swimming is the superior choice for anyone whose workout routine includes actual swimming. The ability to drop songs onto 16GB of storage and dive underwater with zero anxiety about water damage is a game-changer that no amount of battery life can replace. However, for the vast majority of people who primarily run, cycle, or commute, the TRAUSI IPX7 is the smarter buy. Its 50-hour battery life and ultra-lightweight design make it the best over ear headphones for jogging in terms of practicality and endurance. If I were buying a pair for my own daily runs and coffee shop visits, I would choose the TRAUSI because the peace of mind regarding battery life and the comfort of the open-ear design outweigh the niche benefit of underwater capability for my lifestyle.
While both are open-ear designs, the TRAUSI IPX7 is lighter and has a hook shape that sits securely without pressing against the pillow, making it a better candidate for side sleepers than the wedoking, which has a more substantial body. Neither is marketed explicitly as sleep headphones, but the TRAUSI's comfort profile suggests it handles quiet rest better.
Yes, the wedoking works perfectly for running thanks to its bone conduction driver and ENC noise cancellation, but you will sacrifice significant battery life (10 hours vs 50) and pay for features like underwater waterproofing that you won't use on the pavement.
The TRAUSI uses dynamic drivers and an open-ear design to deliver clear, loud audio that remains safe by letting ambient sounds in. While they may not have the "booming" bass of closed-back speakers, the sound quality is described as crisp and suitable for outdoor momentum.
Both units feature Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), but the wedoking specifically highlights its ability to filter wind and waves for clear calls in harsh conditions, whereas the TRAUSI focuses on general clarity for street cues and melodies.
