About Herons Nest: “Located in the heart of Seattle, along the Duwamish Greenbelt, the Heron’s Nest is a place to find solace in ever growing surroundings. Perched on the hills along the Duwamish River, and located in the largest contiguous forest left in the city, we are a place to stay, learn, grow, and build together.

Shared Spaces is currently leasing the 3.56-acre parcel adjacent to the Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center in West Seattle. We are collectively working to repurpose and renovate facilities for community use while raising funds to purchase the land in order to steward and repatriate it to The Duwamish Tribe.”

What is Wellness?  Google is pretty close…

People often think about wellness in terms of physical health — nutrition, exercise, weight management, etc., but it is so much more. Wellness is a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, fueling the body, engaging the mind, and nurturing the spirit (1). Although it always includes striving for health, it’s more about living life fully (1), and is “a lifestyle and a personalized approach to living life in a way that… allows you to become the best kind of person that your potentials, circumstances, and fate will allow”

Wecelium Organizers Dinner, 9/18/22
@ White Lotus Farm, Chimacum WA

The newly formed Wecelium network is a system based on learning from the mycelium networks found in nature.  These networks help share resources amongst trees and other plants in the ecosystem.

Our mission is ever evolving and growing but in it's essence, we aim to support organizers and community weavers to produce events, workshops, small festivals and more.  The system may eventually expand to allow for improved sharing of houses and land as well.
