To provide core file management and storage cleanup functionality, Handy File Hub accesses and processes data stored on your device:
Device Files & Media: With your explicit permission, the App accesses local files, including images, videos, audio, documents, zip files, and installed APKs, solely to categorize, analyze storage, and remove requested items.
App Usage & Storage Information: The App reads local storage metrics and installed application metadata to identify large files, duplicate/similar photos, and rarely used applications.
Device Information: Basic device specifications (such as OS version and device model) processed locally to ensure application compatibility.
Note: All file scanning, duplicate photo detection, and storage analysis are performed locally on your device. We do not upload, collect, or store your personal files, photos, or documents on external servers.
2. How We Use Information
We use the permissions and access granted by you strictly to deliver the App’s core features:
Organizing and categorizing files for easy browsing.
Generating storage usage analysis and visual breakdowns.
Detecting junk data, large files, and duplicate or similar photos for manual cleanup.
Displaying installed apps to help you manage local storage space.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or files to third parties. Because file management features operate locally on your device, your personal files remain private and under your control.
We may disclose minimal information only if required to do so by applicable laws, legal processes, or governmental requests.
4. Permissions Required
Handy File Hub requests specific Android permissions necessary to operate:
Storage / All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or Media Permissions): Required to scan, display, clean, and organize files stored on your device.
Query All Packages: Required to analyze installed applications and identify rarely used apps for storage management.
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though doing so may prevent certain core features from functioning.
5. Data Retention & Security
Retention: Since file management processes occur locally on your device, we do not maintain central databases storing your personal files or media.
Security: We implement standard security practices within the software to ensure that local file operations are conducted safely without compromising your device's integrity.
6. Children's Privacy
Handy File Hub is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy within the App or on our official store listing.
