A beautiful walk in the Hafren Forest, parking at the free car park I make my way down to the River Severn and follow one of the waymarked trails and Severn Way Trail to the Rivers Source in the Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales. Here on the bare slopes of Plynlimon which, less than 15 miles from the Welsh coast. The walk is just under 4 Miles each way and passes the Blaenhafren Waterfall. We follow the River Severn as it gets smaller the higher we go with its waterfalls and cascades through the beautiful forest and up to the tops of the mountain. Finishing at the River Severn Source marker post. Due to rain just before the walk, the river is flowing fast.
