Deacon Rosevelt Thomas Anderson was born on November 3rd, 1922 to the late Deacon Clisby Anderson & Mother Mosie Ann Harris - Anderson in Phenix City, AL. Growing up as a child Deacon Anderson always had a passion for serving in the church, he was saved at the age of 7 at Temple Missionary Baptist Church. As a young boy, Deacon Anderson did not have many opportunities of school but he did graduate with a high school diploma from Russell County Schools in 1948. At the age of 28, he joined Bethelem Crossroads MBC in Fort Mitchell, AL under the leadership of Rev. Paul Lee Jackson. Deacon Anderson was united in holy matrimony to the late Mother Hattie Ann Pierson - Anderson, their love remained inseparable until her death in 2006. Deacon Anderson was a faithful usher, trustee & deacon board chairman during his years of service. To the union of his wife, 7 children were born, Rosevelt Jr, Inez (Tommy) Webb, Susie Ann, Bobby Lee, Virginia (Lee), LeToy (Annie Mae), and his baby girl, Angela (Henry) All of them preceded him in death. Deacon Anderson was loved by many during his lifetime. He said in his final days at Easy Resting Home, When i go, dont moan & groan, because i’m gone home!
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Feb 21, at 7:30 pm at the Undertaking Company. Interment will follow in the Webb Memorial Gardens. Deacon Anderson will lie in repose in the Kaiser O. Webb Memorial Chapel for 30 minutes prior to the homegoing services, where the family will accept visitation.
