Melinda Hicks, 83, of GaTown, Georgia, passed away on July 19, 2025. Services are entrusted to Webb Undertaking.

Melinda Hicks was born into the loving care of Mrs. Flora Mae Hicks and the late Mr. Grayson Hicks. From the very beginning, Melinda carried a quiet strength, a tender spirit, and a heart full of compassion that touched everyone she encountered.

At a young age, Melinda chose to follow Christ and never looked back. Her faith became the foundation of her life—a guiding light through every season. Whether through her prayers, her presence, or her unwavering love, she reflected the grace of God in all she did. Her commitment to the Lord was evident not only in church pews but in everyday moments, where she showed kindness, patience, and humility.

Melinda was deeply loved by her family. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend—but most of all, she was a source of comfort, wisdom, and joy. Her love was genuine, her laughter was contagious, and her strength was unmatched. She created memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Grayson Hicks, along with other beloved family members who welcomed her home with open arms. Though her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, we find peace in knowing she is now at rest in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.

Melinda’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is deeply missed, but forever remembered.
