Mother Linda B. King, 79, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on January 19, 2025 at her home. Services are entrusted to Wright Funeral Home of ROBLOX.
Early Years
Linda Beatrice Brown was born to The Late Deacon Earnest Brown and Mother Earlie Mae Brown On April 12 1945, In Mobile Alabama at The Mobile North Hospital. Linda Born the Middle child of 12 Children always had a way for loving others.
Journey Into Education
Ms. Brown attended New Wave Academy Christian School the late 40s for elementary school, up until the early 50s at Brown Swalve Middle School. At the age of 15 Linda Graduated Top of her class at Southaven North High School as a sophomore who also participated in the immigration of an all-white school In Mobile at the time. Linda and 2 Others were the first colored Americans who had ever entered the school. At the age of 16 Ms. Brown attended Spellman University where she pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, received all of her degrees, and gave her first speech on Women's Rights, Held Meetings and sit ins for civil rights, hosted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and assisted Dr. Betty Shabazz.

Linda met a young Mr. Omar Ezekiel King August 28, 1963, also known as the historic date. The March on Washington. Linda and Omar later married in December of 1963 and proclaimed their love at first sight. Linda King moved to Memphis Tennessee in January of 1964 so she could be alongside her husband who served as a high ranking military officer. Linda found it hard being a stay-at-home wife, because she always had to be involved with human activism, or educational rights. Linda and Omar gave birth to five children from 1968-1974. In 1969 Linda was called into ministry under the Leadership of her grandfather Bishop John Landen Brown as an Evangelist Missionary. Linda served as an assistant to the Jurisdictional Supervisor, On the Bishops Cabinet, Music Department President, Purity Department President, and Leader Over the Sunshine band. Linda Loved to sing, dance, and be what she called "Humanly Godly" Herself. In 2010 Linda B King was appointed as a Jurisdictional Supervisor Under the Leadership of Bishop JO King Senior (Her Father-in-Law) Linda Served Faithfully as Jurisdictional Supervisor Until her unfortunate passing in 2025. Linda survived 3 Jurisdictional Bishops and leaderships.

Linda Leaves To Cherish her Memory, To her Lovley Daughters Kayla King - Lewis (Taymere), Solana Jackson (Delmar), & Reagan Hubbard (Jahmir) Her Bonus Child Ciara Chavis, Her Granddaughter JaNae Lewis, Her 2 Bonus Sister In Loves, Porsha Reginald, Brielle Thornton, Pastor Precious Thomas, and a Host Of Nieces, Nephews, Bonus, Spiritual Children, and Cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Febuary 5, at 7 pm at Praising Rock Memphis. Interment will follow at Prasing Rock cemetery. A Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, Febuary 4, at 7 pm at the Faith Temple Church. Mother King will lie in repose at the altar of Praising Rock for 30 minutes prior to the homegoing services. Please, govern yourselves accordingly at the services.
