Jayson Caleb Gatling, 26, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on August 26th, 2025. Services are entrusted to Webb Undertaking.

Brother Jayson Caleb Gatling was born into the care of Elder Zymere Leon Gatling and the late Grace Marie-Gatling on May 6, 1999. 

Jayson was very much into Music, he played in his local Church's Band, and also sung in both the mass and youth choir. He went to school and graduated from Woodland Middle School in Newport News Virginia. Following his high school career, he traveled to East Texas State, to receive a Master's Degree in Music Education. After 4 more years of education, he then began being Band Director at Pinecrest High School, and later then Westview High School. He also was the Band Director and Minister of Music at his father's church, Inspiring Body Church of God in Christ, also known as the "Inspiring Church." He was called to be with Christ Jesus on September 6, 2025. 

He his proceeded to be with his Older Brother and Sister, Minister Zymere Gatling, Jr. and Sister Jaaliyah Gatling-Smith. 

His memories is left on this world to his Father, Elder Zymere Gatling, Sr., and brother, Reginald Gatling, as well as his Grandfather, Bishop David Luke Gatling, along with a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 12, at 7:00-8:00pm at the Undertaking Company. Interment will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.
