Kevin Dante Webb, 73, of Clarkton, North Carolina, passed away on January 28, 2026. Services are entrusted to Webb Undertaking.
Trustee Herman James Kennedy, age 73, entered eternal rest on January 24, 2026. He was born on March 12, 1952, in Macon, Georgia, to the late James and Lillie Mae Kennedy. Raised in Macon, Herman developed a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility at an early age. These qualities followed him throughout his life and shaped the man he became. In 1974, he married his first wife, Mrs. Hattie Mae Patterson. After her untimely passing in 1979, Herman later relocated to Clarkton, North Carolina, seeking new beginnings. In 1982, he joined Brunner’s Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he became a faithful and dedicated member. Herman enjoyed a long and successful career in industrial management and property operations, holding supervisory and leadership positions that provided stability and allowed him to be a respected provider and community figure. Herman later married the late Mrs. Gloria H. Lewis-Kennedy, with whom he shared many years of love, faith, and service until her passing in 2015. Because of his sound judgment, financial integrity, and commitment to the church, Herman was appointed as a Trustee of Brunner’s Grove M.B.C. in 1998. He served in this role with honor, helping oversee church property and finances, and remained devoted to the church until his health declined. Trustee Kennedy will be remembered as a quiet, steady man of faith, discipline, and respect—one whose life reflected responsibility, service, and dignity.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Feb 20, at 8:30 pm at Mount Zion M.B.C.
Interment will follow in the Webb Memorial Gardens. Trustee Kennedy will lie in repose at the altar of Mount Zion for 30 minutes prior to the homegoing services, where the family will accept visitation.
