Chloe grew up with her mother; a normal life, except that her mother is telekinetic. "Atypicals" (as people with abilities are known) aren't very rare, but everyone's powers are different and show up differently, some even believe it's genetic.

She was already in her twenties and studying art, when Chloe started to show symptoms. Hearing voices, angels she said, angels that told her what others were feeling, that helped her understand, brought her inspiration and creativity. Her mother thought differently and brought her to a special therapist, one that specialized in Atypicals.

She met Frank, a war veteran that suffers from PTSD. Through his scrambled thoughts she saw his desire to paint, saw the paintings he wanted to make and saw that he wasn't able to do so by himself anymore. So she offered to help, told him about her powers.

They have since become good friends, working together on his works.
