Aliya was born in the poor moon of Elboreth, orphan and alone - except for Oroi, her best friend. When she was fifteen, Professor Myiari brought her to Iox, the rich university moon where everyone (except Elborethians) wanted to live. There she learnt history, the ancient language and stories of a past she wanted to know more about.

In a world where history is believed to be cyclical, where bodies aren't buried but scattered to the Rivers, where the last Empires did their best to erase all remaining stories, she decided to become an archaeologist.
