Description
Barringtonia acutangula grows at coastal wetlands from southern Asia to the northern Australasia. This plant grows up to about 15 m high.
In some nations, the young leaves are used as food. They can be consumed raw. This plant has a history of being used medicinally, including as an antibiotic, antifungal, and anticancer. When combined with oil, an extract or juice from the leaves can be used to treat skin outbreaks. For diarrhea, the powdered kernels are employed. Its bark contains potent analgesics.
