Maintenance of Hygiene and Cleanliness: All residents are required to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in their respective rooms, washrooms, and corridors.
Prohibition of Alcohol, Intoxicants, and Smoking: The consumption of alcohol, intoxicants, and smoking within the hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Individuals found in violation of this regulation will face immediate disciplinary measures, including potential expulsion from the hostel. A fine of $100 will be levied for alcohol consumption, and $50 for smoking.
Respect for Hostel Property: Any damage inflicted upon the hostel property will be considered a grave offense. Residents found responsible for such damages will be subject to disciplinary actions, along with a corresponding fine.
Curfew and Access Control: The hostel premises will be secured at 21:00 hours in winter season & 21:30-22:00 in summer season, each day. Entry beyond this time will only be permissible with explicit consent from the warden and authorized hostel personnel.
Authorized Absence: Residents are required to obtain formal permission from the warden and hostel administration prior to leaving the hostel premises for an extended duration.
Restricted Appliances and Cooking: The usage of high-power electrical devices, including heaters and induction cooktops, is prohibited. Additionally, cooking activities within the rooms are strictly forbidden.
Responsible Event Management: Celebratory events within the hostel are expected to be conducted in a dignified and orderly manner. Disposal of waste, such as cake and eggs, within the hostel corridors will be deemed a breach of discipline.
Key Responsibility: Each resident must furnish an extra room key to the warden’s office. In the event of a lock change request, associated expenses shall be borne by the resident. A new key must be promptly submitted to the warden.
End-of-Semester Obligations: Prior to departure at the end of the semester, residents are required to surrender their blankets, pillows, and bedsheets to the designated hostel authorities.
Routine Inspections: Regular room inspections will be conducted by the hostel authorities to ensure that rooms are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
Guest Accommodation Protocol: Any guest or non-resident student seeking temporary accommodation within the hostel premises must seek explicit authorization from the warden or relevant hostel authorities.
Expelled Student Restriction: Students who have been expelled from the college are strictly prohibited from accessing the hostel facilities.
Room/Hostel Transfer Protocol: Residents seeking room/hostel transfers must obtain formal consent from the warden & authorized hostel personnel prior to initiating any changes.
