HOPE
By: Tessa Weinsheimer
Hope is a yellow bird poking through the last layer of fogExposed to the clear robins egg skySo close to the sun, nothing able to tear its wings When the cold fingers catch the soft feathers once moreThe bird perseveres Using the optimistic dreams to propel itself upward Hope is a white daisyIt’s radiant yellow face pointed skywardTall green stem supporting and standing strong Always reliableThrough fields of samenessThe flower is always prominentIt’s innocent, peaceful colors seen miles away Hope is nurses going into hospitals everyday Not to help themselves but to save othersTeachers finding as many ways as possible to teachGoing through the unimaginable to help Hope is dreamsLiving in our imaginationJust waiting to be brought to lifeCreated through experiences, people, and placesCreating new ideas, ways of thinking, and extraordinary livesFilled with more color and emotion than a summer sunsetReady to do the impossible Hope is all of this, and moreIt will persevere like a yellow birdIt will be seen miles away like a daisyIt will help like people It will create magnificent things like dreamsHope will be with us no matter what, if we see it or not
