How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want to keep a pair of AirPods 4 locked in your ears with a hook you can bend to fit your own ear shape, choose WC HookZ; if you need a complete standalone wireless earbud setup with massive battery life, a charging case and waterproofing for hard training, choose Qecnato 75H.
• WC HookZ – biggest strength: a malleable internal core that you bend into shape, so the hook adapts to your ear instead of forcing your ear to adapt to it. Soft, skin-safe silicone with rounded edges, in a Cyan Prism finish.
• WC HookZ – biggest trade-off: it is not a pair of earbuds. It is an accessory built only for Apple AirPods 4, and it does nothing for AirPods Pro, AirPods 1, 2 or 3.
• Qecnato 75H – biggest strength: a true all-in-one package — Bluetooth 5.4, up to 15 hours per charge and 75 hours total with the charging case, a dual LED display, four ENC mics, IP7 waterproofing and 14.2mm dynamic drivers.
• Qecnato 75H – biggest trade-off: it is a closed system. You get the earbuds, the case and the sound that Qecnato built, and that is the whole deal — no reusing hardware you already own.
• Who each is for: WC HookZ is for the person who already loves their AirPods 4 and just needs them to stop slipping. Qecnato 75H is for the person who wants one pair of sport earbuds that does everything from the first mile to the last call.
WC HookZ solves one very specific problem: your AirPods 4 keep working their way loose. The design answer here is an over-ear hook with a flexible internal core. That core is the interesting part. Instead of a fixed plastic curve that either pinches or floats, you bend each hook until it sits the way your ear wants it. Ear shape varies a lot from person to person, and this is a rare case where the product actually accounts for that.
The material choices matter too. Soft, skin-safe silicone with rounded edges is the right call for something that touches the back of your ear for hours — no sharp seams digging in, no hard plastic pressing on cartilage. Installation is tool-free: you slide your AirPods 4 in and you are done in seconds. The hooks are lightweight and low-profile, so they disappear under a beanie, a helmet strap or a hood. The Cyan Prism color is a deliberate style choice, not a neutral one, so go in knowing that.
Who should skip it: anyone with AirPods Pro, or AirPods 1, 2 or 3. The fit is custom-designed for AirPods 4 and only AirPods 4. Also skip it if you want a self-contained pair of earbuds — this is an add-on, not a replacement.
Qecnato 75H: Who It's For
Qecnato 75H takes the opposite approach: everything is included from the start. The ear hooks are built into the buds themselves, made from soft silicone, and the whole thing is tuned for movement — commutes, outdoor sessions, hard workouts. If your frustration has always been "my earbuds fall out when I sweat," this design addresses it at the source rather than patching it afterward.
The battery story is the headline. Up to 15 hours on a single charge, extending to 75 hours with the charging case, and a full recharge in about 1.5 hours over USB-C. That is the kind of number that changes behavior — you stop thinking about charging entirely and just toss the case in a bag. The dual LED display shows both the case battery and the individual earbud charging progress, which is a small thing that removes a lot of guesswork before a long run.
On the audio and call side, you get 14.2mm dynamic drivers and a four-microphone array with ENC noise cancellation. The Bluetooth 5.4 chip is pitched around anti-interference and stable transmission, with support for HFP, A2DP, HSP and AVRCP. In plain terms: fewer dropouts in crowded places, and calls that stay intelligible in traffic or a noisy gym. Compatibility is broad — iOS, Android and Windows all pair without fuss, and the buds auto-connect when you lift them out of the case. Touch controls cover play/pause, calls, volume, track skipping and voice assistant.
The IP7 waterproof rating is the other big one for anyone training outdoors. Sweat and rain are explicitly in scope, which is exactly where cheap earbuds die.
Who should buy it: runners, cyclists, gym regulars and travelers who want one pair that handles music, calls and weather without a second thought. Two years of warranty backs it up.
Side-by-Side: Which Should You Choose?
• Already own AirPods 4 → WC HookZ. It extends hardware you like instead of replacing it.
• Want a complete earbud setup → Qecnato 75H. Buds, case, mics and drivers in one box.
• Best for battery life → Qecnato 75H. Up to 15 hours per charge and 75 hours total with the case.
• Best for a custom, adjustable fit → WC HookZ. The malleable core bends to your ear; nothing else here does that.
• Best for heavy sweat and rain → Qecnato 75H. IP7 waterproofing is built in.
• Best for clear calls in noise → Qecnato 75H. Four mics with ENC noise cancellation.
• Best for a low-profile, under-helmet fit → WC HookZ. Lightweight, slim, and it slides onto the buds you already wear.
• Least commitment → WC HookZ. A single small piece, no charging case, no new device to manage.
In my opinion, these two only look like competitors. WC HookZ is a fit fix, and Qecnato 75H is a whole system. If you already own AirPods 4 and the only thing wrong with them is that they slide out, I would buy WC HookZ — the malleable core and soft silicone solve that problem cleanly, and you keep the buds you like. If you are starting from nothing, or you want one pair for running, calls and bad weather with battery you never think about, I would buy Qecnato 75H. Decide which problem you actually have, and the choice makes itself.
Slide each bud into the silicone hook, then guide the hook up and over the back of your ear so it rests against the outer ear, not inside the canal. WC HookZ installs tool-free in seconds and its malleable core lets you bend the hook until it sits flush. Qecnato 75H has the hooks built in, so you simply place the bud in your ear and rotate the hook over the top of your ear.
With WC HookZ, push your AirPods 4 into the hook opening until seated, then bend the flexible core to match your ear shape and hook it over the top of your ear. Check that the bud still points into the canal — a hook that is bent too far forward will pull the bud out of position. Because the core is adjustable, expect to fine-tune it once or twice before it feels right.
The order matters: seat the bud first, then swing the hook over the back of your ear, then adjust the stem or hook angle so the bud sits sealed but not jammed in. Qecnato 75H follows the same routine, and its soft silicone hooks are designed to stay put through commutes, workouts and outdoor sessions. If a hook presses on cartilage after a few minutes, bend or reposition it — pressure is a fit problem, not something to push through.
They are good at one thing above all: staying in place during movement. WC HookZ adds that stability to AirPods 4 with an adjustable hook, while Qecnato 75H pairs built-in hooks with IP7 waterproofing, up to 15 hours per charge and 75 hours total with the case. If your main complaint is earbuds slipping during runs or workouts, hooks address it directly. If your complaint is fit, comfort or sound tuning, hooks will not fix that.
