As tradition holds, our parade is led by representatives from the West Bountiful Police Department. We love our police force and truly appreciate the wonderful service they provide to the citizens of West Bountiful!
2. South Davis Metro Fire
South Davis Metro Fire provides emergency and public services throughout the southern portion of Davis County. Five fire stations are located strategically within jurisdictional boundaries which provide all of our citizens with the quickest response available. Emergency services include fire, ambulance, paramedic, hazardous material, and technical rescue response. Public services include fire prevention, public education, CERT, first aid and CPR classes, business inspections, fire investigations, and much more.
3. Troop 220
Scouting USA Troop 220 of Bountiful, Utah, is an active, youth led Scout Troop chartered by the Bountiful Community Church. We meet on Monday evenings at 6:45pm at the Bountiful Elks Lodge and focus on traditional scouting, camping, and community service. Founded in 1954, we are one of the oldest continuously operating troops in Utah. We offer a variety of activities for Scouts ages 11-18 and have an active Cub Scout Pack that meets on Tuesdays at the Bountiful Community Church for youth from K-10 years old. We begin our 250th celebration with Bob York's 1988 Cadillac Fleetwood transporting George Washington and some of our founding fathers and mothers from Bountiful's Freedom's Light Festival. 10. Bountiful City Jeep Posse
The Bountiful Jeep Posse was founded in 1946. This total volunteer organization is dedicated to search and rescue, and community work serving south Davis County when requested. It also serves the state and division of wildlife resources by teaching the youth the hunter safety program.

Established in 2004, the Wasatch and District Pipe Band is a competitive and performing Bagpipe Band based out of Bountiful, Utah. Wearing the MacTavish tartan, they perform all over Northern Utah, compete in the Western U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and have attended the World Pipe Band Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland.

Joy and Lane Beattie have been proud residents of West Bountiful since 1988, quietly dedicating their lives to service and community.
Lande spent 12 years in the Utah State Senate, including six as Senate President, where he worked to represent Utah with integrity and collaboration. He later served as the State Olympic Officer, helping support Utah's role on the world stage.
Joy has devoted countless hours to strengthening families and youth. She served as PTA President, contributed as a board member for the University of Utah Fine Arts, and has held numerous youth leadership roles supporting the young people of West Bountiful.
Together, Lane and Joy have raised 3 children and are now blessed with 10 grand children and 1 great-grandchild. Their greatest joy comes from family and from the community they've called home for nearly four decades.
Ellen Jeppson was born in California and moved with her family to Bountiful when she was four years old. She graduated from Bountiful High School, BYU with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and Utah State with a Master Degree in Education. She married Wayne Jeppson and together they settled in West Bountiful and had four children. Ellen taught school in Davis County for 35 years, including 17 years at West Bountiful Elementary teaching 1st grade. Currently Ellen is the International President of Daughters of Utah Pioneers with its headquarters at the Pioneer Memorial Museum in Salt Lake. Ellen and Wayne have 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She loves camping, gardening, teaching, writing, serving others, and storytelling. She is grateful for her pioneer heritage. Her great-great-grandfather and grandmother settled in West Bountiful in 1868 after arriving in Utah with the pioneers, and members of her family have lived here continuously for 158 years to today. Her husband was born in West Bountiful, and the Jeppson family loves their ties to this town. Ellen's philosophy for life is: You can never have too many friends. You can't be too kind. You can't eat too much chocolate.
Scott Higgins was raised in Bountiful, Utah and graduated from Viewmont High School in 1976. Following a two year church mission, Scott attended the University of Utah where he was an Army ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. He received a regular-army commission into the Armor Branch in 1983. Scott served in leadership and command roles in combat units with the 8th Infantry Division in Germany and the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson during the Cold War of the 1980s. Following tank company command at Fort Carson, Scott attended fully funded graduate school at Kansas State University to study Industrial Engineering and was subsequently detailed into the Army's Acquisition Corps in 1993. His Acquisition Corps assignments included:

Following retirement from active duty in 2004, Scott continued to work for the Department of Defense at Hill Air Force Base, culminating in his role as Director of Information Technology and Chief of Cybersecurity for the ICBM Systems Directorate. He retired after 40 years of federal service in 2020. Scott and his wife, Wendy, have been married for 44 years and are the proud parents of 1 daughter, 3 sons, and have 8 grandchildren. They have lived in West Bountiful since 2019.
Bo has been in Youth City Council for 6 years. During those 6 years he helped plan many city events, such as Christmas on Onion Street, and giving countless hours of community service. On August 5th he will be going on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Kansas City, Missouri. After his mission, he will double major at the University of Utah in Mechanical Engineering and Music Education.
