Finances (Eric)
Did expense comparison over last couple years

-Heggies Fundraiser: Booster club raised 550.00 less this year. Pizza cost more this season
-Give to the Max donation: Huge bonus this season (1,000). In future, Booster Club should focus on this fundraising event
-Raised less money this season on Cub foods bagging
Esquagama Trip
-Total cost of trip $4,808
-Originally projected Booster club to contribute $2,000
-After registration and final tally/info Booster club to contribute approx. $1,300
Tournament fundraising results
-Don’t know the total yet. It takes about 2 weeks to sort money out (per Molly with the school)
Cub bagging
-Booster club has been bagging at Buerkle Road location. Information received from a member of swim team boosters is that they recommend bagging at Meadowlands location as more money can be raised. Nordic Boosters had attempted to bag at this location in the past but it’s difficult to secure a spot
-Boosters will try the Meadowlands location again. Should try to call in early summer to inquire. Jessica to add this to the activity brief
Banquet/End of season party (Peggy Skiba)
-Red Luna has been confirmed for banquet
-Registration in progress. Peggy to send targeted email to families who haven’t responded to registration.
-Peggy asking for help with AV; test it out, make sure microphone/TV works. Eric will help
-Nordic team (student) managers will be helping with buffet line
-Peggy ordering fruit and salad
-School’s food service manager will be at party to assist
NOTE: Banquet registration money goes to the SA account. From the SA account we make payment to all vendors for our activities. Coach Cran to get Eric invoices to track money going back and forth to SA account
Door Prizes: (Stacey Sigurdson)
-Stacey states 3 parents have been working on collecting door prizes
-24 places were contacted and received donations from 8 different vendors.
-Finn Sisu (small items)
-Pioneer Midwest (Gift Card)
-Cup/Cone 27 coins for ice cream
-Received 14 different donations from Parents who will bring them to the banquet
-Have more than 45 items if count every pair of socks
-Also have items left over from last year/Coach Cran has some headbands as well
-Things Booster Club should think about for future regarding door prizes
-Does every skier need to get something?
-Are any “prizes” given out at all?
-Maybe survey skiers or have captains come to a booster club meeting to discuss
Middle School Activity Contribution Discussion
–Stacey Sigurdson/Laura Rogers organized an activity for the Middle School skiers as they don’t participate in the Esquagama trip
-Per Jessica there are no restrictions for the Booster club to assist in funding such an event in the future
-Recommended going forward for such events that it be brought to Nordic Booster board to look at and see if funding is available
-There were 5 middle school skiers that participated. Didn’t go to Mora. They stayed local and bowled, went sledding, and had food
-Booster’s were not asked for any funding for this event this year
Next Season
-Board will have openings next season (President and Vice President)
-Eric Bakke to continue on as Treasurer
-Colleen Cran to continue on as Secretary
-Jessica will plan to say a few words at the banquet regarding openings and soliciting help for the different Booster Club activities. She will bring sign up sheets for activities
-Transition meeting for next season will be on April 28th, 2025
General notes:
