Wave zone activities 4th-6th grade
Oceans411 is a program where Kindergarten through 8th grade students at Ocean Shore School are involved in learning and teaching about the ocean. Oceans411 has been an annual program here at Ocean Shore School for Over 30 years! This year we are trying to continue this tradition from home. Please see the pages below for activities for Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Graders to explore our local coastline.
Here is a suggested schedule to help you plan your time. Pick a topic to get started on and have fun:

Waves,Tides and Currents (Beccy)
Birds of the Wave Zone and World (Jonathan)
Weathering, Erosion and Sand (Virginia)
Echinoderms (Katy)
Try this project on Ghost Ships and Ghost Crabs. (Adrian)
We are kicking off Oceans Week with this fun and interactive virtual assembly program by our very own Lissin & Hearty of EarthCapades. This Webinar style version of their award-winning "H2O Show" has been adapted to "edutain" students, teachers and parents about this year's Oceans 411 theme, "The Wave Zone". We’re coming together to learn, have fun, and inspire each other to protect our precious shoreline. This dynamic 45 minutes program will include live juggling, magic, questions and answers, special guests and recorded routines from EarthCapades performances.
"Entertaining, educational, interactive, very inspirational and well delivered. It was an outstanding presentation!”
