PART 1 — PRIVACY POLICY
WATTME SOLAR ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that provides solar photovoltaic production forecasting and smart energy scheduling ("App"). This Privacy Policy describes what information is collected when you use the App, how it is used, and what rights you have.
By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The data controller is the individual developer operating under the brand name WattMe Solar.

For EU/EEA users, this person is the Data Controller as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
The following information is entered by you and stored exclusively on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers:
• Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) of your PV system — entered manually; the App does not request GPS or location permissions
• PV system technical parameters: installed power (kWp), panel orientation, tilt angle, installation year, shading factor
• Home appliance configuration and power ratings
• Battery storage capacity and pool pump power, if applicable
• Optional second home location and system parameters
• Optional calibration value to improve forecast accuracy
This data does not include your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying personal information.
To generate forecasts, the App transmits your geographic coordinates and PV system parameters to the following external services:
• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — weather and solar irradiance data
• PVGIS, European Commission Joint Research Centre (re.jrc.ec.europa.eu) — annual solar production estimates
• Visual Crossing (visualcrossing.com) — weather data
These services receive only the data strictly necessary to perform the calculation. We are not responsible for their data practices. Links to their privacy policies are provided in Section 12.
The App displays advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect, independently of this App:
• Android Advertising ID (GAID)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
• IP address (used to infer approximate geographic region)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
• Crash and performance data
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App presents a consent dialog (Google User Messaging Platform, TCF v2.0) before serving personalised advertising. You may withdraw or modify your consent at any time in App settings.
To opt out of personalised advertising on your device: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalisation".
We do not collect or store on our servers:
• Name, email, phone number, or any contact information
• Precise GPS location
• Usage analytics or crash reports beyond those provided by AdMob
• Financial or billing information
• Biometric data
• Data from children under 13
User-entered data is used solely to generate solar production forecasts, run the Smart Plan scheduling engine, and improve forecast accuracy based on voluntary calibration input. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the App's core functionality.
For users in the EEA/UK, processing is based on:
• Art. 6(1)(b) — Performance of contract: processing coordinates and system parameters is necessary to provide the forecast service you requested
• Art. 6(1)(a) — Consent: personalised advertising via AdMob, collected through the UMP consent dialog
• Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interests: on-device data storage to provide App functionality
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data may be shared only with third-party API providers as described in Section 3.2, if required by applicable law or court order, or in connection with a merger or acquisition subject to the acquirer honouring this policy.
All user-entered data is stored exclusively on your device and retained for as long as the App is installed. You can delete all data at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
Open-Meteo and PVGIS are EU-based services. Transfers to Visual Crossing and Google (USA) are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, ensuring an adequate level of data protection.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Since we store no personal data on our servers, most rights are exercised directly on your device by clearing App data. For AdMob-related data, contact Google at https://myaccount.google.com.
You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Italy: Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact: wattmesolar@gmail.com.
Users in Australia (Privacy Act 1988), Canada (PIPEDA), Brazil (LGPD), and other applicable jurisdictions may contact wattmesolar@gmail.com to exercise rights provided under applicable local law.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at wattmesolar@gmail.com and we will take prompt action to delete it.
User-entered data is stored in the Android OS application sandbox, which is inaccessible to other applications. All communications with external services use HTTPS (TLS encryption). No personal data is stored on developer-controlled servers.
The following third-party services are used by the App. Their data practices are governed by their own policies:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the effective date and, where feasible, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

PART 2 — TERMS OF USE & LEGAL DISCLAIMERS
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the WATTME SOLAR mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply globally to all users regardless of location.
WATTME SOLAR is a free utility application that provides estimated solar photovoltaic production forecasts, a Smart Plan for optimising home appliance scheduling, and annual production estimates. The App is free and supported by Google AdMob advertising. Certain features may be unlocked by watching rewarded video advertisements.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.
All solar production forecasts, energy savings estimates, appliance scheduling recommendations, and Smart Plan outputs generated by the App are ESTIMATES ONLY, provided for informational and planning purposes. They are based on third-party weather forecast models and mathematical models of photovoltaic system performance.
Actual results may differ materially due to, without limitation:
• Actual weather conditions including cloud cover, precipitation, and temperature
• Shading, soiling, snow, or other obstructions affecting panel performance
• Equipment malfunction, inverter failure, or grid outages
• Panel degradation, wiring losses, or system inefficiencies
• Inaccuracies in user-entered system parameters
• Limitations inherent in third-party weather forecast models
• Local topographic or microclimatic conditions
The App does not monitor your actual solar system. It has no connection to your inverter, utility meter, or energy provider. All figures are model outputs, not real-time measurements.
THE APP IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ENERGY ADVICE. Do not make significant financial, contractual, or engineering decisions based solely on App output. Always consult a qualified energy professional.
CO₂ savings estimates and equivalent metrics are based on published reference values (IPCC, IEA) and are indicative only. They do not represent verified carbon offsets or credits.
Any monetary savings estimates displayed by the App are approximations based on user-entered energy prices and modelled production data. They do not constitute financial, investment, or energy tariff advice. Actual savings depend on your tariff structure, consumption patterns, grid operator policies, and applicable legislation, all of which may change without notice. We are not a financial adviser.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that forecasts will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not permit exclusion of implied warranties; exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION: loss of profits or energy savings; loss of data; decisions made in reliance on App forecasts; or damage to equipment or property.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, the Developer's total cumulative liability shall not exceed EUR 100 (one hundred euros). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The App depends on third-party services including Open-Meteo, PVGIS, Visual Crossing, and Google AdMob. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or data practices. Open-Meteo data is provided under CC BY 4.0; PVGIS data by the European Commission JRC. Use of the App also implies acceptance of Google's Terms of Service (https://policies.google.com/terms) insofar as they apply to advertising.
The App and all associated intellectual property are owned by the Developer and protected by Italian and international copyright and intellectual property law. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, distribute, sublicence, or create derivative works from the App, or remove any proprietary notices.
You agree not to use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation; interfere with App operations or third-party services; attempt unauthorised access to any connected system; or commercially exploit the App or its output without prior written permission.
The App is free and supported by Google AdMob. Banner advertisements are displayed within the App; rewarded video advertisements are optional and used to unlock premium features. We do not control the content of advertisements served by Google.
Premium feature unlocks are stored locally on your device. Clearing App data, reinstalling, or changing devices may require you to repeat the unlock process. We reserve the right to modify the monetisation model with reasonable advance notice.
The App is distributed through the Google Play Store and may in future be available on the Apple App Store. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective Terms of Service:

In the event of conflict between these Terms and applicable store terms, the store terms prevail only to the extent required by the store operator.
We reserve the right to update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from such changes or from unavailability of third-party services on which the App depends.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. For EU consumers, mandatory EU consumer protection law applies, including Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts. For UK users, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK legislation apply. For Australian users, the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010) applies. For US users, disputes shall be resolved by individual binding arbitration, and the laws of the State of California apply to the extent federal law does not.
Any dispute not otherwise resolved shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Parma, Italy.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy above, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App. Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice and by updating the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
