Hanne is a post-doc in the Waters Lab. 

She hails from Chico, CA (shout out to Sierra Nevada😊), since we needed to add some West Coast blood to the Waters Lab mix.

For her undergraduate studies, she attended San Diego State University where she waterskiied at the D1 level for three years on the SDSU Waterski and Wakeboard Team and was awesome enough to compete in three nationals! When she wasn't catching the water slopes, she worked in 2 different research labs - Dr. Douglas Grotjahn's Organometallics lab (3 years) & Dr. Jeff Gustafson's lab working on peptide stapling (1 year). Hanne also became a self proclaimed HUGE beach bum and spent all her free time finding hikes, playing beach volleyball, or rollerskating the board walks. 

In the fall of 2019, she moved to Chapel Hill with her cat Kitty. She feels desperately far from the ocean, but at least manages to play sand volleyball every weekend.
