Waters Lab @ UNC Ch

The Waters group designs molecules with new function, primarily applied to addressing biological problems.  We think of ourselves as molecular designers and architects.  The research spans from organic to biological chemistry and from fundamental to applied research.  Furthermore, we use a wide range of tools and techniques, including organic synthesis, solid phase peptide synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, biophysical methods, and molecular biology. Our group values breadth of backgrounds and ideas and fosters a team approach to research.  Waters group members are curious, adventurous people who are always willing to learn new things and go out of their comfort zones to make their research successful.
