Subject line: Call for a permanent ceasefire and end to the genocide against Palestinians 

Dear [INSERT NAME],

I am appalled by Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, Occupied Palestine and by [INSERT COUNTRY]’s decision to support the mass killing of civilians, apartheid and the occupation of Palestine. 

Senior Israeli leaders have openly and repeatedly declared their intent to commit the gravest human rights violations, war crimes and crimes against humanity, and apartheid Israel is acting on those intentions by:

• denying access to water, food, medicine, fuel, electricity and other basic necessities of life

• bombing hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, refugee camps

• mass murdering civilians, healthcare personnel, journalists and other civil society members

I refuse to stand by and watch the collective punishment and genocide of Palestinians.

Families with Palestinian heritage live across [INSERT COUNTRY]. They are our co-workers, neighbors, friends, and family members. Many of their loved ones have been killed in the most horrific ways imaginable. While enduring that pain and grief, our fellow [INSERT NATIONALITY] have been forced to witness our government support, fund and provide political and diplomatic cover to Israel’s genocide.

[INSERT COUNTRY]’s complicity has enabled and encouraged a sharp increase in Islamophobic attacks in our cities and communities, and threatens the safety and lives of [INSERT NATIONALITY] of Palestinian, Arab, and Muslim background in particular. 

[INSERT COUNTRY]’s funding and support for Israel committing war crimes and crimes against humanity are themselves crimes under international law.

As my representative in Parliament, I demand that you do your duty, raise Israel's genocide of Palestinians in the parliamentary session and ask the House/[INSERT APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENT BODY] to:

• Call for a permanent ceasefire and for Israel to end its genocide of the Palestinian people;

• Seek full access to water, food, medicine, fuel, electricity and communications for the Palestinian people;

• Demand unrestricted humanitarian aid into Gaza;

• Condemn Israel for their numerous crimes against Palestine; and

• End financial aid to Israel: stop sending our tax dollars to Israel and stop purchasing

What actions will you be taking? How will I be informed of the concrete steps you are taking to make your constituents' voices heard? Can I count on you to speak on this in the next Parliamentary session before more innocent lives are taken?

I am looking forward to hearing from you and to learn of the actions you will be taking to put an end to the mass genocide of Palestinian people.
