Welcome to Water Butler (hereinafter referred to as "this app"). Water Butler is a local tool app dedicated to helping you develop healthy drinking habits. All core functions of this app (including but not limited to daily water intake reminders, water intake tracking, and drinking habits statistics) are completed locally on your device. We will not require you to register an account, nor will we collect your name, phone number, email address, location information, device identifiers, or any files and data on your device.
2. Permission usage instructions
In order to implement reminder and local data storage functions on your device, this application may request the following system permissions. These permissions are solely used for implementing local functions and are never used for data collection:
Notification permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you daily water intake reminder notifications at the time points you set.
Foreground service permission (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Ensures that the reminder process will not be forcibly killed by the system when the application transitions to the background, guaranteeing the timeliness of reminders.
Storage permission (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): (Only for Android versions below 10) Used to export or back up your local water intake records. In Android versions 10 and above, we utilize the system sandbox mechanism, thus this permission is not required.
You can revoke the aforementioned permissions in the device's system settings at any time, but doing so may prevent certain reminder or recording functions from functioning properly.
3. Third-party services
This application does not contain any third-party SDKs (such as advertising, data analysis, crash statistics, social sharing, etc.). Therefore, no third party can obtain any of your information through this application.
4. Data security
Since we do not collect or store any of your data, there is no risk of data leakage, data abuse, or illegal data access. All your water drinking records and reminder settings are securely stored on your local device.
5. Protection of minors
This application does not collect any user information, and therefore does not involve the collection and processing of personal information of minors. We encourage guardians to provide appropriate guidance and supervision when minors use mobile devices.
6. Updates to Privacy Policy
