In 1979 Ohio, several youngsters are making a zombie movie with a Super-8 camera. In the midst of filming, the friends witness a horrifying train derailment and are lucky to escape with their lives. They soon discover that the catastrophe was no accident, as a series of unexplained events and disappearances soon follows. Deputy Jackson Lamb, the father of one of the kids, searches for the terrifying truth behind the crash.
Super 8 sequel was announced to be released back in 2023. Four years later, we finally got a concrete timeline, with Super 8 set to be released on 2011-06-08. The film was later pushed back one final time to 2011-06-08, right in time for Christmas. Like many movies being released in 2023, Super 8 will be only available to view in theaters.

The movie follows a wealthy couple, James and Em Foster, on a getaway vacation at a remote island resort.
