Watch Later helps you save video links, organize them into groups, and return to the original websites to watch. This policy explains how this version handles information.
Watch Later stores your saved video links, titles, group names, display preferences, and playback information on your device. It may cache preview images and metadata. This release has no enabled offline download sources. No Watch Later account is required, and the app has no publisher-operated library server, analytics SDK, or advertising SDK.
When you save or open a link, the app may contact the original website and image hosts to retrieve page titles, thumbnails, and video pages. YouTube title and preview information is requested through YouTube's oEmbed endpoint using the saved video URL. These network requests expose information such as your IP address and the requested URL to the destination service. URLs may include information you supplied in the link.
The built-in browser opens websites you choose. Those sites may use cookies, local storage, advertisements, analytics, or their own sign-in services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies. Watch Later does not control those websites. No camera, microphone, contacts, or location permission is requested by the app.
The app reads clipboard contents only when you tap Add link. You can also share a link to Watch Later from another app. It does not continuously monitor the clipboard. Copy URL writes the selected link to your clipboard.
Your saved library remains on the device until you remove entries, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Deleting a bookmark removes that library entry and its app-managed video file, if present. Cached metadata, images, or browser cookies may remain until Android app storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Thumbnail cache storage is bounded. The app does not provide a cloud library backup.
App preferences and cached files use Android app-specific storage. Connections use the protocol of the selected URL; HTTPS is recommended, and HTTP links are not encrypted. We do not claim that every third-party website or connection is secure.
Watch Later is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The app opens user-selected websites and does not provide a curated children's video service.
