Avatar sequel was announced to be released back in 2023. Four years later, we finally got a concrete timeline, with Avatar set to be released on 2009-12-15. The film was later pushed back one final time to 2009-12-15, right in time for Christmas. Like many movies being released in 2023, Avatar will be only available to view in theaters.

The movie follows a wealthy couple, James and Em Foster, on a getaway vacation at a remote island resort.
