Recycling limestone from waste and CO2
- Closed-loop circularity - secures the supply chain and avoids scope 3 emissions by avoiding mining and transport.
- Green - efficient, electric operations that don't require extreme temperatures or pressures.
- Simple - Low CAPEX and OPEX.
- Scalable - based on traditional processing technologies, not reliant on emerging or complex technologies.
- Platform - any alkaline calcium containing industrial waste material can potentially be used.
- Enabling - opens up opportunities in targeting the high-value components that were originally too low concentration.
Focus:
We are focused on virgin steel production plants and the slag they generate, namely BOF slag and developing green iron and steel-making processes, as our solutions are the only ones in this area that add value to parties interested in extracting the other valuable materials in this slag.
Goals:
Our goal at the moment to determine whether there is demand for this, and how this would best look like to fulfill our clients needs.
We aim to partner with parties that are interested in the other metals (both precious and not) left in the slag after the calcium is removed to develop a complete solution to slag world wide. The hope is that different partners get involved depending on the composition of the slag from each plant.
