Wasl is a school management and communication application that helps schools communicate with teachers, students, and students' families.
Your Wasl account is not created directly in the App.
Your school creates your account and provides you with a temporary password. The school determines which school-related information is associated with your account.
We store and display this information on behalf of the school.
Depending on your role and your relationship with the school, Wasl may process the following information:
Your name.
Your phone number.
Your account identifier.
Depending on your role, this may include information related to the students you follow or the classes you teach, such as:
Timetables.
Attendance and absences.
Published marks and report cards.
Remarks and behavioral records.
School and class announcements.
Messages exchanged between parents and teachers.
School fee invoices.
Payment records.
Payment receipts, where applicable.
A technical device token used solely to deliver push notifications to your device.
We process your information to provide and operate Wasl, including to:
Provide access to your school information.
Display timetables, attendance, marks, announcements, and other information authorized by your school.
Enable communication between parents and teachers.
Display school fee information and payment records.
Deliver push notifications.
Maintain the security and proper operation of the App.
Wasl:
Does not display advertising.
Does not use analytics or tracking tools.
Does not sell your personal information.
Does not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
Does not access your location.
Does not access your contacts.
Does not access your camera unless a future feature explicitly requires it and appropriate permission is requested.
Only the service providers described below may process certain information on our behalf to provide the App's services.
Wasl uses the following service providers:
School and account data is hosted and processed using Supabase.

Supabase processes data on our behalf to provide database, authentication, storage, and related infrastructure services.
Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
FCM processes the technical device token and information necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
These service providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to Wasl.
Wasl is designed to protect the privacy of notification content.
When a notification appears on your device's lock screen, it indicates the type of event, such as a new mark, absence, announcement, or message, without displaying the private content itself.
To allow Wasl to remain usable when the network connection is weak or unavailable, the App may temporarily store a local copy of certain information on your device.
This may include information such as:
Timetables.
Previously synchronized school information.
Attendance and marks entered while offline.
This local data is deleted when you sign out of the App.
The local application data is not included in cloud backups.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Communications between the App and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS.
Access to school data is controlled on the server according to the user's role and associated school.
Users can access only the information they are authorized to access.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Students may use Wasl with an account created and managed by their school.
The App does not provide public registration.
A student can access only the information authorized for their account, such as:
Their timetable.
Their marks after publication.
Their attendance records.
Announcements related to their class.
Wasl does not display advertising and does not use tracking tools.
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide Wasl to the school and for as long as the school uses the service, unless a different retention period is required by the school or applicable law.

You can request the deletion of your Wasl account directly from the App.
Go to:

in Arabic, or:
Profile → Demander la suppression du compte
in French.
You may also contact your school to request account deletion.
Please note that certain school records may need to be retained by the school for administrative, legal, or educational purposes. Where applicable, such records may be retained by the school even after your Wasl account is deleted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Wasl, our services, or applicable requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
