This assassination-plot thriller starring Warren Beatty was set in Seattle, though halfway through the film it transitions to locations in the Los Angeles area.
The opening scene with the first assassination attempt was shot at Seattle Center at the Space Needle.
The campaign party was held on the observation deck, which looks much different today.
Then there's the fight scene on top of the Needle - certainly something that would never even be attempted today!
The miniature train scene was shot on the Griffith Park & Southern Railway at 4400 Crystal Springs Drive in Los Angeles.
The dam scene was filmed in the Skagit River below Gorge Dam, just northeast of the small town of Newhalem, WA.
