This little-known 80's film stars Arliss Howard as Nick Dunbar, a Seattle cop who must go undercover as a high school student to clear his brother's name in the murder of a teacher. Ballard's Salmon Bay School features prominently in the film, as well as a few other spots on the north side of the city.
The film opens with Nick (undercover as an ice cream man) and his partner Ed (Seymour Cassel) busting two punks on Eastern Avenue North just south of North 38th Street. Lake Union is behind them in the above shot.
The park with the "Never Never Land" play area where Nick finds Matt (Loren Dean) holding a hostage was Salmon Bay Park in Ballard.
Bradwood's house that Nick & Ed visit early in the film is at 3826 Eastern Avenue North in Wallingford.
"Adlai Stevenson High School" was actually the Salmon Bay School at 1810 Northwest 65th Street.
Several scenes take place in the school parking lot behind the building, including the carnival scene at the end. Now it is a playground.
Athens Restaurant, seen several times in the film, was located on Queen Anne Avenue between Galer & McGraw. This whole area has seen lots of development since then, and this building appears to be long gone.
