Kurt McKinney stars as Jason Stillwell, avid Bruce Lee fan and karate devotee who moves to Seattle from Los Angeles. He joins a local dojo and soon finds himself over his head as a crime syndicate starts to bully him and his family. Jean-Claude Van Damme makes an early appearance as the Russian bad guy. This extremely low budget action film was shot mostly in Los Angeles, with a few scenes in Seattle for authenticity.
The karate dojo at the start of the film was Sherman Oaks Karate Studio formerly located at 16733 Ventura Boulevard in Encino, CA.
As Jason and family arrive in Seattle, a shot of I-5 looking toward Beacon Hill from the Yesler Way overpass is shown.
And the obligatory skyline shot from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill.
Jason and family are seen driving down 7th Avenue past the Days Inn at 2205 7th Avenue (not seen in the above photo).
Twice in the film Jason visits Bruce Lee's grave site at Lakeview Cemetery at 1554 15th Avenue East in Seattle.
The Brig, the bar that Jason's dad owns, is located at 1515 Abbott Kinney Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Jason and Kelly (Kathie Sileno) visit the Pacific Science Center in Seattle Center...
...then it's off to the observation deck of the Space Needle...
...then a photo stop at the Historic Ships Wharf at South Lake Union Park...
...lunch in one of the waterfront piers...
...and back to Kerry Park...
...finally they end up taking a ride on the Seattle Center monorail.
