Lucky Them (2013)

This recent release stars Toni Collette as Ellie Klug, a down-on-her-luck music critic who goes on a quest for her missing rockstar ex-boyfriend for her next big story. Along the way, she meets budding documentary filmmaker Charlie (Thomas Haden Church) and Lucas (Ryan Eggold), an aspiring young musician looking to catch his big break. This romantic drama was filmed all over Seattle and the surrounding area in 2013.

During the opening sequence, Ellie is seen walking down East Pike Street on Capitol Hill, specifically in front of Caffe Vita at 1005 East Pike Street.

Ellie is walking down Blanchard Street between 2nd & 3rd Avenue when she sees Lucas playing in front of the Crocodile Cafe.

Interior shots of the Stax Records office were filmed in the K.R. Trigger Building, a private event and office space at 3201 1st Avenue South in SoDo.

Ellie's best friend Dana (Nina Arianda) works as a bartender at Rob Roy (2332 2nd Avenue), where Ellie bumps into Charlie.

The exterior entrance to the "Stax Records" office is located in the Grand Central Arcade at 214 1st Avenue South in Pioneer Square. Ellie and Lucas sit and talk on the south end of Occidental Park.

Ellie's apartment is located at 4306 Fremont Avenue North in Seattle.

Ellie and Charlie meet with the private investigator (Tony Doupe) at 4000 Aurora Avenue North in Fremont.

They attempt to find Matthew at the Mt. Si Pub at 45530 Southeast North Bend Way in North Bend.

While in the area, they make a trip to Snoqualmie Falls, made famous in Twin Peaks.

Lucas plays a set at the Comet Tavern at 922 East Pike Street on Capitol Hill.

Lucas goes for a dip at Alki Beach Park in West Seattle.

Ellie meets Charlie at another private event space - Sole Repair at 1001 East Pike Street on Capitol Hill.

While Ellie drives the RV, the Snoqualmie Railway Museum is visible in the background, revealing they are traveling down Railroad Avenue in downtown Snoqualmie.

As they set out again in a car, they are seen traveling west on Vincent Flat Road to the west of Carnation.

After following Sara (Amy Seimetz) home from work, Ellie is reunited with Matthew (Johnny Depp) at 31752 West Bird Street in Carnation.
