Director Lynn Shelton's Sundance hit stars Mark Duplass as Ben, a happily married Seattle man who is talked into making an "artistic" porn film with his close friend Andrew (Joshua Leonard) during one wild night at a party. In an effort to maintain their friendship and Ben's marriage to Ann (Alycia Delmore), they debate whether or not to actually go through with the plan. This micro-budget indie film was shot with a minimal crew at a handful of Seattle locations, mainly in the Ballard area.
Ben and Anna's house was possibly filmed at 6703 2nd Avenue NW.
The "Dionysus" party scene was filmed at 612 NW 50th Street.
While driving to the hotel, Ben drives down Aurora Avenue North/Highway 99 near Woodland Park.

As he walks to the hotel, Andrew passes Edith Macefield's house (1438 NW 46th Street) - which has become somewhat of a local landmark. In a story similar to the Disney film Up, Macefield refused to sell her century-old farmhouse to developers until the day she died. When her story got out, she became a folk hero and plans remain to keep the house in place, although it is now dwarfed by surrounding buildings.
