In this film, we are introduced to Jack (Jared Leto), a Las Vegas pool cleaner who is caught with the wife of his employer - who is not somebody to mess with. Followed by a couple rough goons, Jack sets out on a road trip with his best friend Pilot (Jake Gyllenhaal). Along the way, they pick up a young woman (Selma Blair) and a stoner (John C. McGinley) who is trying to make his way to Seattle for Kurt Cobain's funeral. The gang decides to make for Seattle, and hopefully lose track of the goons close on their trail.
One helicopter shot flies over Snoqualmie Falls then finds their car traveling over the Railroad Avenue SE bridge just upriver.

The truck stop scene was filmed at the Travel Center of America at 46600 Southeast North Bend Way just east of the town of North Bend off I-90.
The first establishing shot of Seattle was taken from the Magnolia Bridge on West Garfield Street.

We then see a helicopter shot of the Space Needle, looking south toward the skyline.
The group's first stop is the memorial celebration in Seattle Center. Pilot spends some time wandering around the Fun Forest Amusement Park under the Space Needle (which sadly no longer exists).
The goons finally catch up to Jack & Cassie and give chase outside the fountain in front of Key Arena.
They are then seen across town in Pioneer Square - specifically, Occidental Park (Occidental Ave. S & S. Main St.), where they cross South Main Street in front of a streetcar and the Union Trust Building. Sadly, service on the Waterfront Streetcar line stopped in 2005.
Jack & Cassie are then chased down 1st Avenue, where they end up beside the J&M Cafe at 201 1st Avenue South.
