Get Carter (2000)

This remake of the 1971 classic stars Sylvester Stallone as mob enforcer Jack Carter, who returns to his hometown of Seattle to investigate the murder of his brother. Several other big-name actors pop up including Mickey Rourke, Miranda Richardson, Rachael Leigh Cook, John C. McGinley, Alan Cumming and Michael Caine. Though the entire film was set in Seattle, the majority of it is actually Vancouver, with a few scenes filmed here for authenticity.

Carter is seen arriving in Seattle at King Street Station.

The exterior of "The George," where Carter tracks down Cliff (Michael Caine) was located at 90 Alexander Street in the Gastown area of Vancouver.

Jack drives along the Sea to Sky Highway north of Vancouver.

Carter talks to Jeremy (Alan Cumming) at Furry Creek Golf Course on the Sea to Sky Highway.

In one of the film's several car chases, a shot looks down 2nd Avenue toward Smith Tower near S. King St. in Pioneer Square in Seattle.

The car chase continues down South King Street toward the viaduct near Occidental Avenue, as they pass by F.X. McRory's Steak Chop & Oyster House.

The chase goes on to Harbor Island, as they zoom down 16th Avenue SW and end at the Pendleton Flour Mill at 3235 16th Avenue SW.

In between car chases, Jack & Doreen (Rachael Leigh Cook) have a quiet chat at the Ovaltine Cafe at 251 Hastings Street East in Vancouver.

On the way to his hotel, Carter is seen driving under the north side of the Granville Bridge in Vancouver, near Beach Avenue.

The "Mercer Pacific Hotel" where Jack Carter stays is actually the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel, seen from the entrance on Hornby Street.

Jack meets a snitch in a Chinatown apartment and throws him off the balcony at approximately 37 East Pender Street in Vancouver's Chinatown.

A car begins pursuit and Jack's next seen driving down Pender Street at Carrall Street (heading back where he just came!).

The chase then seamlessly warps to Seattle as Jack is followed down South King Street past a courtyard at Maynard Avenue South in the International District.

The car chase continues at the corner of South Weller Street & 7th Avenue South.

Jack's car bursts out of Maynard Alley South. onto South King Street, and heads west toward the train station in the background.

We're then in Belltown as the chase continues down 6th Avenue at Blanchard Street toward the Space Needle.

Then somehow they are going over the Yesler Way bridge over I-5. The logistics of this chase are boggling to anybody familiar with the city...

The chase goes under the Alaskan Way viaduct, near 1st Avenue. The Kingdome can even be seen in the background, before it was demolished in March 2000.

The car chase ends as a car gets airborne and lands in the staircase in front of the Triangle Pub at 553 1st Avenue South in Pioneer Square.

After the car chase, Carter crosses the 12th Avenue South bridge over I-90 and turns onto South Charles Street. A few of the shots in this chase sequence re-use locations from the car chase in McQ.

The mansion where Carter invites himself to the party is the Hycroft Mansion at 1489 McRae Avenue in Vancouver.
