Reese Witherspoon stars as Nicole Walker, a high school girl who meets the seemingly-nice David (Mark Wahlberg). Soon, she discovers David is not all he seems as he becomes obsessive and eventually psychotic toward her and her family. This movie was set in Seattle, though according to the production notes, the crew only filmed there for three days; choosing instead to shoot in Vancouver, BC.

The Walker's house, where much of the film's action takes place, was shot at a private residence at the end of Brunswick Beach Road on Lion's Bay, north of Vancouver.
School scenes were filmed at Lord Byng High School at 3939 West 16th Avenue in Vancouver.
Amusement park scenes were shot at Playland Amusement Park at 2901 East Hastings Street in Vancouver.
Nicole's dad Steve (William Petersen) works in Key Tower, now just known as 1000 Second Avenue in Seattle.
