Assassins (1995)

This action thriller directed by Richard Donner stars Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas as dueling assassins. The film was written by Matrix creators Andy & Larry Wachowski and shot by acclaimed cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond. Most of the film's action takes place in Seattle, WA, except the opening and closing scenes filmed in Puerto Rico.

The cemetery shootout was filmed at Evergreen Cemetery at 4504 Broadway in Everett, WA. A detailed shot-by-shot location guide of this sequence has been prepared by local historian David Dilgard, which you can download here (it's on page 8).

A police car drives down South Horton Street between the railroad tracks & 3rd Avenue South in south Seattle.

Miguel (Banderas) escapes when the police car flips over on 2nd Avenue South just south of South Horton Street.

Robert (Stallone) is seen driving past 400 Yesler Way.

Right before he steals the taxi, Robert is seen driving north on 1st Avenue South near the Alaskan Way Viaduct on-ramp. This is directly across from Century Link Field.

After he steals the taxi, Robert turns off Pine Street and drives south down 1st Avenue South.

Robert pulls up to the Cafe Trattoria, which is now the Showbox at the Market at 1426 1st Avenue. This is adjacent to the entrance to Pike Place Market.

Miguel jumps in Robert's taxi when he stops at 810 Post Avenue.

Next, we see the taxi driving down Corson Avenue South under the South Lucile Street overpass (thanks to Steve).

He then drives past Georgetown Playfield on Corson Avenue South (thanks to Steve).

A good portion of the car chase sequence takes place on Alaskan Way across from the ferry terminal.

The chase continues down 8th Avenue South behind Georgetown Liquor Company at 5501 Airport Way South (thanks to Steve).

The lot where Robert leaves the taxi after the chase was on Columbia Street near the viaduct.

Sea-Tac International Airport was seen briefly in one scene.

Robert saves Electra (Julianne Moore) from a shootout in a "Marriott Hotel" - actually the City Centre building at 1420 5th Avenue (thanks to Jose).

Electra drives Robert to Pioneer Square, where she parks near the intersection of James Street & Yesler Way and hitches a ride on a bus.

Electra's apartment was filmed at 1600 18th Avenue.

Electra & Robert drive down 5th Avenue under the monorail tracks and park in front of the Westin Hotel at 1900 5th Avenue.

Robert boards the monorail at Westlake Center, and rides it to Seattle Center.

Robert makes an exchange with a briefcase at the Seattle Center monorail station.

On the return trip, Robert suddenly de-boards the monorail and jumps onto the roof of a building at 118 5th Avenue South.

Before heading to Puerto Rico, Robert and Electra take a break at north Lake Union, just off NE Northlake Way, with the I-5 Ship Canal Bridge in the background.
