The Danz house between Washington and Eureka was torn down.
The 2019 class inducted into the WCHS Hall of Fame included Todd Foster, Jim Maddock, Maggie Krick Mose, Steve Doty, Phil Moss, Clint Reed, Mike Adams, Chuck Brunner, the 1977 girls basketball team, and the 1983 football team.
A body found December 23 in rural Mackinaw turned out to be Washingtonian John Tyler, missing since December 6. Daniel Allbritton eventually pled guilty to murdering Tyler.
Nancy Hodges was the 2019 Washingtonian Award winner.
In June WCHS staff member Kevin Brown passed away after a year-long battle with glioblastoma.
