UPDATE1: I found that the Handy app camera feed works on my Samsung tablet.

UPDATE2: At this point I suspect a fix will only come in the form of a Handy app update for iOS, considering it works fine on my PC and Android tablet. I would be curious to know what phone others are having this issue on.

UPDATE3: Well I can happily report that the camera feed on my iPhone is now working! No idea why though. Haven't heard back from support after their first reply. I just randomly tried it again and it's working now.

UPDATE4: Spoke too soon. It was temporarily working yesterday while my phone was NOT connected to my home WiFi. New response from Support, #2 below. Will try fix this evening.

1. On the Blink app Home screen, tap the + icon in the top right corner.

2. On Add Device, tap the Mini Camera. You will be asked to scan a QR Code which is located on the back of your Mini camera, above the plug socket. Your camera may request permission to scan the QR code. Otherwise, you can enter the number manually.

4. You will be instructed to plug in your camera and wait for the lights on the camera's face to appear. One will blink blue and another to be solid green. When this occurs, tap Discover device, and the following message appears: "Blink" Wants to Join Wi-Fi Network"BLINK-XXXX"? Tap Join.

If you want to mount the Mini onto a ceiling or an overhead surface, you may need to flip the camera's video so it outputs properly. You can make this change in the Blink app under Device Settings, by tapping the More button on your camera's thumbnail and select Device Settings  in the lower right corner in the thumbnail image. Then select Video and Photo and tap Flip Video to turn on this setting.

When you add a new camera, the camera name and image are not set up. Your camera's device serial number (DSN) displays as the camera name (shown below as G8V1-9000-1362-CR5R). The thumbnail image (your camera's view) will be blue. To change the name of your camera or add a thumbnail picture, follow the steps below.

From the Home Screen, tap the More buttonand select Refresh Thumbnail. The camera takes a screenshot of the current live view and replaces the blue image with this screenshot. The thumbnail remains the same until you refresh it using Refresh Thumbnail. Learn more about using the Blink app.

When your camera has adjusted the white balance for darkness and motion has occurred, the scene may have an area of bright light. This image may be sent to you before the camera has adjusted itself. In this case, there may be a blue tint to the image; however, the next clip will have a corrected white balance. You can adjust the camera view to avoid areas of high contrast (morning sun on a dark walkway).

When placing your camera indoors, or in a garage, some surfaces can affect what you see. Flat surfaces reflect light and create glare. Momentary reflections, or a strong source of light aimed at the camera lens can also create a glare.

Moving the camera a short distance away from a reflective surface can make a big difference. Using a Blink Camera Mount or Blink Camera Stand lifts the camera off of flat surfaces and improves image clarity. The image below is from the same camera on a mount.

In some cases, switching the infra red (IR) light Setting to Off can help reduce glare. If the area is lit when motion occurs, as with some garage doors or our floodlight products, your camera will provide a picture using visible light instead of IR, as shown below.

To detect motion, cameras other than the Mini are sensitive to the size of an object's heat as it appears in the view. The Blink Mini detects visual differences between one moment and the next. For both types of camera however, a small object close to the camera would trigger a detection equal to a larger object farther away because their appearance is similar in the camera view. The best range of detection is within 5 to 20 feet (about 1.5 to 6m) from the camera. By placing your camera higher off of the ground, you can avoid smaller animals causing motion alerts.

If you want to see arriving visitors and package deliveries, it may be useful to mount the camera looking towards the doorway, so random pedestrians or stray animals do not appear in the background and cause motion alerts that you are not interested in.

Placing your camera near hard surfaces my produce unwanted sounds. Placing the camera on a shelf, near a wall, or set back from the edge, may create a "boxed-in" environment. Because a hard surface reflects sound, the camera microphone may pick up the original sound and the reflected sound.

Each Mini camera used as a chime must be on the same system as the doorbell. If you open the Doorbell and Chime Settings and do not see a Mini camera that you have added, the Mini may be in a different system. If you have multiple systems, they will be separated by gray tabs at the top of the home screen. If your Mini camera displays on the Blink app home screen, the system name is located in gray tab above it.

Using the Blink app you can see a live camera view, check out previously saved video clips, change settings, or join the Ring Neighbors app. This service shares camera information with nearby neighbors who have either Ring or Blink cameras.

The camera simulator is an interactive learning tool to familiarize yourself with the menu navigation of the ALEXA Mini camera. The main user interface on the viewfinder shows a simulation of the real ALEXA Mini camera.

Like its big sister, the Diana F, it shoots square images, but it also has the ability to do half frames; similar to a camera like the Olympus Pen. But unlike the Pen, you can shoot away without limitation of having to fully wind between each frame. This makes it easy to shoot double exposures. It also means you can partially wind from one frame to the next and shoot another photo, which creates overlapping stories.

Anyways, with what I gleaned from the 20 hours of instruction and 20 hours ofhacking, I decided that I should apply what I learned to a real device! These$20 Blink Mini cameras that I bought a few months ago seemed like perfectvictims to fuck around with!

Dropping a few letters off the end, though, I found a couple of results forAC1002B, but they are mostly justreviews for a different Blink camera. On the bright side, this confirms that this unit is indeed the CPU.

As for negatives, dynamic range is limited, with highlights clipped in most tested conditions. There are sometimes blue white balance casts, and noise is often visible, especially in low-light and indoor conditions. Without a dedicated zoom, the 12 mini, like the 12, has limitations at the telephoto end of things.

For Video, the Apple iPhone 12 mini joins the iPhone 12 and iPhone12 Pro in the no. 4 spot in our rankings with a score of 112, just behind the 12 Pro Max at no. 3. Target exposure is generally accurate and dynamic range is fairly wide; color rendering and skin tones are pleasing in most tested conditions. Autofocus is fast and accurate both indoors and out; the stabilization system works well in static conditions and when walking.

In terms of exposure, the iPhone 12 mini is mostly on target, though the dynamic range is somewhat limited, with some clipping of highlights. This was also noted in the DXOMARK review of the iPhone 12, and in this lineup of photos you can see that they share the same tendency. The Google Pixel 5 at far right fares somewhat better at preserving the detail in the brightly lit windows, but the exposure is a little low.

In terms of rendering color, the iPhone 12 mini performs well in general, though sometimes there is a blue white balance cast in outdoor photos. Skin tones are fairly natural. There is a slight orange cast in indoor and low-light conditions, which is evident in the photo illustrations below. An orange cast is even more pronounced in the Google Pixel 5 at far right.

The autofocus on the iPhone 12 mini is fast and accurate, even in low-light conditions. As for noise, the performance is below that of many of the top flagship devices, but both the 12 and 12 mini scored slightly higher than the Google Pixel 5.

For those looking for a truly pocket-sized smartphone that has a solid camera setup, the Apple iPhone 12 mini is a good bet. It delivers a lot of the same features and quality as the iPhone 12 but at a lower cost and in a smaller form factor.

I received two A8 today and - of course - updating firmware is the first task. First I updated the gimbal firmware (successful). It should be mentioned in the manual, that the camera needs external power beside the USB connection to the USB. The board is not powered via USB.

As you can see in the picture, when the camera is rolled a bit and then a bit tilted, the camera case hits the yaw mount. You can also provoke this contact when the gimbal is activated and you move around the mount in such a position.

The Gimbal roll limits is limited to 30 degrees. I have removed the camera back plate it now just misses. Maybe frank can make a new plate which is flush with the camera body on the corners. 3D cad file would be nice.
