Warp Softwares ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Notes, Easy Notebook (the "App"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.


1. Information Collection and Use

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the App's functionality:

  • Collected Data: The App allows you to create and manage notes that may have image and/or file attachments for user. All notes related data, including attachments, title, note content, and other related details, are stored locally on your device and not shared with third parties unless you select option to backup your data on google drive. Backup of notes to google drive will be disabled by default this would only be allowed once you explicitly select and choose to backup your notes data to google drive.

  • App Usage Data: We may collect anonymized app usage data, such as which features are used and how often, to improve the App. This data is collected through third-party services like Firebase Analytics and does not personally identify you.

  • Device Information: We may collect information about the device you use to access the App, such as hardware model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. This data helps improve the performance and compatibility of the App.


2. Data Storage and Security

All data related to The App is stored locally on your device. We have a feature to backup and restore your notes data to/from Your Google Drive, this feature is disabled by default but once you explicitly select and choose to allow backing up to google drive it would frequently upload only your notes related data which does not include your personal information and data that does not personally identify you. Apart from that we do not upload or store this data on any other external servers. Any analytics data collected through third-party services (e.g., Firebase) is anonymized.

We employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal data, including encryption and regular security audits. However, no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.


3. Payment Terms

In-App Purchases: No In-App Purchases have been added to the App as of now, but we may add it in future.


4. Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies, but third-party services like Google AdMob or Firebase Analytics may use cookies to collect anonymized information. You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings.


5. Third-Party Services

  • Google Ads: We use Google AdMob to display ads in the App. AdMob may collect data to serve personalized ads, including device identifiers, usage data, and location (if permitted). You may adjust your ad preferences in the device settings.

  • Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase to collect unidentified app usage data, such as feature engagement and crash reports, to improve the App's performance. This data does not personally identify you.

  • SDP & SSP: We use com.intuit.sdp:sdp-android & com.intuit.ssp:ssp-android to manage responsive and flexible user interface across different device ratios and sizes.

  • Glide: We use com.github.bumptech.glide:glide to display any images/media within App efficiently.

  • View Pager: We use androidx.viewpager2:viewpager2 to help viewpager swipes when the layout direction is right to left, pages scroll accordingly.

  • Paranoid Gradle Plugin: Dependency: io.michaelrocks:paranoid-gradle-plugin:0.3.7 Description: The Paranoid plugin is an obfuscation tool that helps to protect your Android app from reverse engineering. It specifically works by encrypting string literals in your code, which makes it harder for potential attackers to decompile and analyze sensitive data such as API keys, credentials, or any hardcoded strings. It enhances security by hiding or transforming the string resources to make them less readable in decompiled code.

  • Lifecycle library: The dependency androidx.lifecycle:lifecycle-viewmodel:2.2.0 is part of the Android Jetpack Lifecycle library, specifically for managing and storing UI-related data in a ViewModel. It helps in maintaining data across configuration changes like screen rotations.

  • Gson:  The dependency com.google.code.gson:gson:2.10.1 is for including the Gson library in your Android or Java project. Gson is a popular Java library provided by Google for converting Java Objects into their JSON representation and vice versa. It is lightweight and easy to use for handling JSON data.

  • RoomDb: The dependency androidx.room:room-runtime:2.2.5 is part of the Room Persistence Library, which is a part of Android Jetpack. Storing User Data: Local storage for app data like user information, settings, or preferences.This does not store or transmit your notes data to any third parties

  • Firebase Bill of Materials (BoM):  ( 'com.google.firebase:firebase-bom:30.3.2' ) helps manage Firebase dependencies with version consistency across all Firebase products.

  • Firebase Analytics: Firebase Analytics ( 'com.google.firebase:firebase-analytics' ) is used to collect data on user interactions in the app for reporting and analysis.

  • Firebase firestore: A cloud-based NoSQL database ( 'com.google.firebase:firebase-firestore' ) to store and sync data between users and devices in real-time.

  • Firebase Crashlytics: Firebase Crashlytics  ( 'com.google.firebase:firebase-crashlytics' )  helps you track, prioritize, and fix stability issues within your app by providing detailed crash reports.

  • Firebase Messaging: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)  ( 'com.google.firebase:firebase-messaging' ) is used for sending notifications and messages from the cloud to devices.

  • Retrofit: (com.squareup.retrofit2:retrofit:2.9.0) Retrofit is a popular type-safe HTTP client for Android and Java. It simplifies network operations by converting REST API calls into Java interface methods, handling request creation and response parsing automatically.

  • Splashscreen: For customized splash screen in higher version of device

  • Logging Interceptor:  (com.squareup.okhttp3:logging-interceptor:5.0.0-alpha.7) The Logging Interceptor is an OkHttp utility that logs HTTP request and response data. It helps with debugging by displaying information such as URL, headers, request/response bodies, and status codes, making it easier to identify issues in network calls.

  • RxJava Adapter:  (com.squareup.retrofit2:adapter-rxjava2:2.9.0) The RxJava Adapter allows Retrofit to return reactive types like Observable, Single, or Flowable. It enables a reactive programming approach, letting you chain network requests and handle asynchronous data streams using RxJava’s operators.

  • Dexter: Dexter(com.karumi:dexter:6.2.3) is a library for handling runtime permissions in Android applications. It simplifies the process of requesting permissions by providing an easy-to-use API that manages permission checks and requests, making it easier to comply with Android’s permission model and enhance user experience.

  • Lottie:  (com.airbnb.android:lottie:6.0.0) Lottie is an animation library developed by Airbnb that allows developers to render animations created in Adobe After Effects. By using JSON files exported from After Effects, Lottie enables complex animations to be displayed smoothly and efficiently on Android, enhancing the visual appeal of the application.

  • Shimmer: (com.facebook.shimmer:shimmer:0.5.0) Shimmer is a library developed by Facebook that provides a shimmering effect, which is commonly used to indicate loading content in a user-friendly way. It creates an animated gradient that moves across a view, giving users a visual cue that data is being loaded, thereby improving the overall user experience.

  • Google IAP: (com.github.akshaaatt:Google-IAP:1.2.5) This library simplifies the integration of Google In-App Billing (IAP) into Android applications. It provides an easier way to manage in-app purchases, including subscriptions and consumable products, by abstracting the complexities of Google Play Billing, allowing developers to focus more on app functionality and user experience.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third-party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

    • The right to notice. You must be properly notified which categories of Personal Data are being collected and the purposes for which the Personal Data is being used.

Exercising Your CCPA Data Protection Rights

In order to exercise any of Your rights under the CCPA, and if you are a California resident, You can email or call us or visit our "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" section or web page.

The Company will disclose and deliver the required information free of charge within 45 days of receiving Your verifiable request. The time period to provide the required information may be extended once by an additional 45 days when reasonable necessary and with prior notice.


7. Permissions Requested

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Notification Access: The app may utilize the POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission to send notifications related to notes, or other relevant app updates. These notifications are solely for the purpose of enhancing your user experience within the app android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATION 

  • Network Access: This may be required for downloading updates or serving advertisements. It is also necessary for Google AdMob, Firebase, and other third-party services integrated into the App.

  • Camera: The permission CAMERA may helps to capture photos for notes attachments.

  •  Storage Access: The permissions READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE allows the App to pick users profile picture from gallery and also used to export notes data file save to users storage. We do no collect any other information from users storage. android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE


8. Data Retention and Deletion

All Application data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the App, all locally stored data will be deleted from your device. Any data collected by third-party services is subject to their data retention policies. When you select option to backup your notes data to google drive this would be stored on your selected google drive and not on any other servers/drive/places, and you can explicitly go to your google drive at anytime to remove yor backup data if you want without any restrictions.


9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.


10.Detailed Information on the Processing of Your Personal Data

Service Providers have access to Your Personal Data only to perform their tasks on Our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics

We may use third-party Service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

  • Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
