I've looked around Stack Overflow, and I found some answers from a couple of years ago that it's not possible to play audio from Safari unless you're in that full screen player. Is this still the case?

iOS disables autoplay, instead requiring that play be initiated as part of a user interaction (e.g., you can start playback within a touchstart listener). There's a bit of documentation about this on Apple's developer documentation. There's also this article Overcoming iOS HTML5 audio limitations on IBM's developer site that has examples and more detail.

IOS on mobile disable automatic sound playing by default. So to get around this problem. You could put enable/disable switch button somewhere on the page and play some sound using an audio element("audioElement") if the user click the button switch.

After that, the same "audioElement" can be used to play future sounds by changing its "src" attribute and call its "play()" method, without any further user interaction.

Very old question but something that might help some people out, in my case (ofcourse this might not be viable in all cases), it helped to play all audio files for 1millisecond, then pause them. After that, if you resume playing the audio it works without issue.

In Safari on iOS (for all devices, including iPad), preload and autoplay are disabled, unless the user is on a cellular network and be charged per data unit. No data is loaded until the user initiates it.I have simplified a working code for my project where I need to play button click sound, hope this will help.

That means you can start playing with your PlayStation console connected to a TV, pause your game and access the PS Remote Play app on your chosen device, and your game will be there, ready to keep playing from exactly where you left it. Or you can switch on your PlayStation console and start playing directly from the app, with no need to ever switch on your TV.

I connected the BT speaker right away and it actually worked. But afterwards, I connected normal headphones to my iPhone and...it stopped playing after one second. No matter what I did, I pressed "Play" and it only played for a second. Now on my headphones. So I had to do another clean reinstall of Spotify and connected headphones FIRST (because I use my headphones daily), so I have at least working headphones. That helped. So it looks like only first device that is connected works, the second one doesn't....

Want to add to this issue, I bought new Bluetooth headphones, they work fine though on mobile when I connected and played a song it stopped almost right away, played with settings a bit and turning on the offline mode helped. I was also connected to the headphones on my pc.

I have experienced the same issue. The cause seems to be that Spotify stops playing through the my external speaker when multiple devices are connected with that speaker. When I connect my iPhone with the speaker, Spotify cuts of the music after one second when my MacBook is somehow also connected with the same speaker. When I disconnect my MacBook from the speaker then Spotify works perfectly from my iPhone right away.

I heard that iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max can shoot spatial video. However, I also know that the iPhone 15 Pro does not support spatial video shooting at first. When the iPhone 15 Pro becomes able to shoot spatial video, can the shot spatial video be played back on the visionOS simulator? When played back, is the video playback represented in three dimensions as a spatial video also performed in visionOS simulator? I would like to play back the spatial video shot with the iPhone 15 Pro using the VideoPlayerComponent of RealityKit. I am concerned that if the visionOS simulator does not support the operation verification of the shot spatial video, it will take a long time to verify it because I do not have an Apple Vision Pro device.

Alternatively, if you were already playing audio on your phone, just swipe down on the screen from the upper right to open the control center. Then, tap the AirPlay icon on the audio player to start streaming to your desired device.

I used to be able to play Media during locked screen. I would able to hear the audio from the uploaded lectures even during locked screen. It no longer works for me, why would this feature be removed??? I used to love going on a walk and listening to my lectures.

For some reason, the sounds for ringers, and alerts/notifications on my iPhone appear to not be playing anymore. Even though the ringer volume in settings is turned up almost to the max, the phone still only vibrates when receiving a call. And when the phone is placed onto it's charging dock, instead of BEEP ing like it normally does, it simply vibrates. ff782bc1db
