If you want a proper over-the-head office headset with a boom mic and hands-free controls for long call shifts, choose Wantek Cell Phone Headset; if you need a cheap, featherweight pair of in-ear buds you can keep in your bag for music, calls and schoolwork, choose CREHAO Earbuds.
• Wantek's biggest strength: A true call-center setup — on-ear design, 330° rotatable noise-cancelling boom mic, wideband stereo and built-in mute/volume buttons, at just 68g.
• Wantek's biggest trade-off: It's a single wired headset tethered to a 3.5mm jack, so you're buying one thing for one main job — talking.
• CREHAO's biggest strength: You get two sets of ultra-light in-ear buds with in-line controls, gold-plated 3.5mm plugs and a wide 20Hz–20kHz range for music as well as voice.
• CREHAO's biggest trade-off: It's passive noise isolation in your ear canal, not active noise cancellation with a dedicated boom mic — so very loud environments are harder.
• Wantek is for you if: You live on calls — support, sales, telemarketing, a home office where the mic matters most.
• CREHAO is for you if: You want affordable spares for a phone, tablet, MP3 player or console and you swap between listening and talking all day.
The Wantek headset is built around one idea: your voice. The boom mic rotates a full 330° and can sit on either the left or right side, so you can line it up with your mouth instead of hoping your voice lands somewhere near a dangling inline mic. Wantek pairs that with noise-cancelling technology and imported chips, and the result is a mic-first design aimed squarely at call centers, customer service desks and home offices.
Comfort is where the spec sheet earns its keep. The whole thing weighs 68g — about 2.4oz — and uses titanium alloy ear loops with soft sponge cushions and a baking finish that resists fading. The headband is flexible and bendable, so you can shape it to your head rather than the other way around. If you wear a headset six or eight hours a day, that lightness and adjustability matter more than almost anything else.
On the audio side, it's a wired on-ear set with 55-ohm impedance, dynamic drivers and a 50Hz–8kHz range — a voice-tuned band, not a music band. Controls sit right on the headset: volume up/down, mute, answer and end, so you're not reaching for your phone mid-sentence. It plugs into a single 3.5mm jack and works with most smartphones, computers, laptops and tablets.
Who should skip it: If your priority is music, gaming or portability, look elsewhere. It's one wired headset, it's on-ear rather than in-ear, and its frequency range is deliberately narrow. Newer iPhones with no headphone jack also need Apple's own Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter, which isn't included.
The CREHAO earbuds are the opposite philosophy: small, light, cheap to own, and easy to keep everywhere. You get a 2-pack, which is the practical part — one pair for your bag, one for your desk drawer, or one for a family member. They're in-ear, so the tips sit in your canal and physically block outside sound, cutting noise leakage at the same time. That's passive isolation, not electronics, but for a commute, a shared office or a noisy kitchen it does a surprising amount of work.
The spec sheet is friendlier to music than the Wantek: 80-ohm impedance, dynamic drivers and a 20Hz–20,000Hz range — full-range rather than voice-only. The plug is a 3.5mm jack with 24K gold plating for rust resistance, and compatibility is genuinely broad: older iPhones (SE, 6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus, 5/5c/5s), iPads and iPod touches, Samsung Galaxy and other Android phones and tablets, Windows devices, gaming consoles, MP3/MP4 players, and live-streaming gear. Basically anything with a headphone jack.
The in-line remote is the other selling point. You get a button cluster for volume, play/pause, answer/hang up, waking the voice assistant, and even a shutter press for photos — all without pulling your phone out. The microphone is described as high-sensitivity and multi-directional, filtering noise for calls and online classes, and CREHAO explicitly points at ZOOM and SKYPE meetings plus language practice and tests. The cable is the built-in media, and there's an 18-month warranty.
Who should skip it: If you're on the phone for hours with clients, in-ear buds with a short inline mic are the wrong tool — no boom arm, no mute button, and no active cancellation. And like the Wantek, newer iPhones without a jack need an adapter.
• Best for all-day call work → Wantek Cell Phone Headset. 68g, bendable headband, sponge cushions, on-ear fit.
• Best for microphone placement → Wantek Cell Phone Headset. A 330° rotatable boom mic you can aim, versus an inline mic on a cable.
• Best for music and media → CREHAO Earbuds. 20Hz–20,000Hz versus Wantek's voice-focused 50Hz–8kHz.
• Best for portability and spares → CREHAO Earbuds. Two pairs, in-ear, tiny, easy to pocket.
• Best for mute/volume at your fingertips → Wantek Cell Phone Headset. Dedicated mute and volume buttons on the headset itself.
• Best for device variety → CREHAO Earbuds. Phones, tablets, consoles, MP3 players, streaming gear — all listed.
• Best for quiet-focus listening → CREHAO Earbuds. In-ear passive isolation is very effective at blocking chatter around you.
• Best for noisy-room conversations → Wantek Cell Phone Headset. Active noise cancellation plus a mic that sits next to your mouth.
If I had to pick one, I'd buy the Wantek Cell Phone Headset — but only because my day is mostly calls. In my opinion, a rotatable boom mic, active noise cancellation and true hands-free mute/volume controls are things no inline-mic bud can replace, and 68g with a bendable headband is the difference between wearing it at hour six or taking it off at hour two. That said, if you mainly listen and only occasionally take a call, I'd genuinely recommend the CREHAO Earbuds instead: two pairs, full-range sound and a gold-plated plug for a fraction of the commitment. Check the current price on Amazon before you decide, since both sit in very different budget tiers.
For work calls, yes — in my opinion. The Wantek has a 330° rotatable boom mic that sits near your mouth, plus noise-cancelling technology and on-headset mute and volume buttons. CREHAO's mic is inline on the cable, which is fine for short calls but less controlled.
Both use a 3.5mm jack, so they fit most phones, tablets, laptops and MP3 players with a headphone jack. Note that newer iPhones without a jack require Apple's own Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter, which neither product includes.
It depends on your preference. The Wantek is an on-ear set at 68g with a bendable headband and sponge cushions — good for all-day office use. The CREHAO earbuds are lighter and sit in your ear canal, which many people prefer for shorter sessions but some find tiring over many hours.
Yes. CREHAO lists ZOOM and SKYPE compatibility, and the inline mic plus remote handles calls, volume and play/pause. For long meetings where you're speaking constantly, though, a boom-mic headset like the Wantek is the more sensible choice.
