I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of South Carolina. Before becoming Professor, I served as Associate Professor from 2018 to 2022 and Assistant Professor from 2014 to 2018. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina, I was an industrial postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech in 2012 under the direction of Dr. Traian Iliescu. During the summers of 2010 and 2011, I worked with Dr. Mihai Anitescu and Dr. Oleg Roderick in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory.
My research focuses on developing mathematically grounded models and efficient, accurate algorithms for grand challenge problems at the forefront of computational science and engineering. Additional information about my publications is available on my Google Scholar page.
I am grateful for support from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and the University of South Carolina (USC).
