There have been some challenges with community pass register with programs tied to family members. All Fall 2017 fundraisers have exceeded goals from last year. Walton Wear should be delivered before Thanksgiving Break. Our profit for Walton Wear doubled from last year. Thanks to all who supported this fundraiser and to the Walton Wear Committee. Also, thank you to all the fundraiser/socials thus far:

- Membership (NOTE: PTA Executive Board will look to raise membership due to National PTA dues that have gone up). This year the PTA did not make any money on the PTA membership due to the National dues went up to $6 a person.

Executive Board Reports
VP of Fundraising Sharyn Alban
Alex and Ani fundraiser – 15% of purchase will go back to Walton. Gift cards will run from November 20th to December 1st. Need Volunteers for Make a Craft on Friday, December 1st and Holiday Boutique running the week of December 5th. Major fundraiser is our basket auction. It will be held this year at Hilton Garden in Springfield. Tickets will cost $45 for a sit-down dinner and cash bar. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Over 60 families participated in the photography session and we doubled our income from last year. Birthday Book Club deadline is November 30th and it is $20. Lastly, Harlem Globetrotters show is on December 30th. Go online to buy tickets; fliers will be sent out by the end of the week.
VP of Programming Alina Iospha
Absent from meeting. The following was reported on her behalf, Disney on Ice sold-out. 100 tickets were purchased. Attendees asked that more notice be giving when the school is going to have an assembly.

Advised that the Coupon Book, Directory Ad, and Walton Wear exceeded from last year.

Principal Report Dr. Coppola
Dr. Coppola discussed bullying reports and this is a great opportunity to come together and talk. Mrs. Salceti and Dr. Coppola work closely together and reach out to students and parents. There is a parent bully guide called HIB document. This document helps parents understand the bullying process. Mrs. Salceti discussed that at this age it is more a conflict than bullying between the students. The staff works on creating a lesson on how to make things better. There is a 24hr. turnaround time in each case.
Parent/Teacher conference is on-line. Make sure parents sign up online. You are able to change your conference time 3 hrs. prior. You must go on-line to sign up.
Teachers are working with Data Walls. Every child has a folder and a number. Individual learning plans for each child. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Board of Education
Hillary Turnbull reported for the BOE. New information: Kristin Rubin and Laura Gamarekian were elected. The Dayton Hall theatre was re-modeled (stage, lightning, seating in the balcony, new floors, sits, etc.). The re-model theatre opens up to bring in revenue. Dayton Drama – Superior Donuts will be held Friday, November 18th and Saturday, November 19th. FMG Aladdin will be held on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th.
Discussion on Bullying: Hillary expressed that residents should come forward at BOE meeting. Any concerns can be brought up there to Board members. Facebook is not the forum. There is a 3-minute time limit to speak at the meetings. Prior to the meeting, email the Board of Education with any questions or concerns. There are policy and procedures that are required by law when identifying bullying. The town offer different programs for individuals; such as family counseling, etc. Please attend or email Board of Education meetings to be heard. Next BOE meeting will be held on Monday, November 20th.
Teacher Report Mrs. Schoch
Thank you from Walton Staff for everything the PTA does. Thank you for the Pumpkin Patch. It was an awesome day and the children enjoy it. One suggestion is that the activities be numbered.
Make-A-Craft – Volunteers are needed – Event is on Friday, December 1st at 6pm. Children come in PJs
Gift Card begin November 20th – December 1st – Fliers are backpacked
Holiday Boutique – Volunteers needed – Runs the week of December 5th
