Attendance:
Daily participation is required and graded. After more than two tardies, the student will receive an office referral. Students who miss class are responsible for making up in-class work and will not be guaranteed a due date extension.
Late Work:
Art is subjective and students work at different rates, I will accommodate for that. Classwork will have soft due dates and hard due dates. If work is turned in after the hard due date, points will be deducted from the student’s grade for every day that it is late. The student is expected to complete the project on their own time, before/after school or during Advisory.
Technology:
Cell phone use is prohibited. Please contact the office in case of emergencies or during passing periods, before or after school. Research and reference photos can be found using their Chromebook. If a student is misusing their cell phone, they must turn it into the office.
All students will be given a code to join GoogleClassroom. It will be used to post class announcements, online activities/forms, and assignment overviews. Students will seldom use GoogleClassroom to turn in work, as the majority of our work will be physical art projects. InfiniteCampus will hold current grades.
If a student must be absent, information regarding classwork will be sent via email or GoogleClassroom.
Restroom:
Students should use the restroom before class starts, during passing time. If that is not possible, students must ask permission and use one of their restroom passes.
Communication:
Please feel free to keep an open dialogue with me. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email, call, or set up a meeting with me.
